Well, from a performance perspective, nothing is going to beat a max performance tire in the summer, nor a snow tire in the winter. As long as you aren't driving your winter set too far into warmer temperatures, they should also last you quite a while and get your money's worth in that sense

You can get away with a good set of All-seasons year round, but I prefer a nice set of summer tires that give the extra grip when cornering and accelerating. Having AS tires seems like the option when you just want to get from point A to point B. But yeah, switching to a two wheel + tire setup is costly.

Problem would be using the Breytons or 230s for snow tires as you mention you want to drop weight I'm assuming any new wheels would be for summer tires. 19" dia makes for expensive tires and reduced traction in the snow...

Some people just don't know what it's like to enable the function of rearward facing fog lamps.

![]() ![]() Was gonna roll his Stingray but figured he'd get pissed. My dad is weird about cars...sometimes he's all about modding and helping me with working on them and shit and other times he's like "you know you could drive a new Honda for this much" etc etc |

I am no running winter tires, the tread life suck to much and the only winters that would fit my breytons are shitty low rated ones. I am pretty confident that the Conti A/S will be better in the snow than my old winters. I would sell the 230s, throw the Conti A/S I have on order on the breytons and orders a whole new set of wheels/tires for summer. Another reason I am considering this is the Conti's are so back order, tire rack cant even estimate when they will be ready and they have been on back order for 2 month now. |

My current setup is what I think is the best and most practicle and sounds like what you are headed towards. I put Pirellli Mud and Snow all-seasons on my stock wheels this winter and they were great even in 18". They were on a slight backorder as well. The 17" Blizzaks just take a beating on the 10 or so warm days we have each year before spring. Im really liking the Hankooks Ventus V12s for my summer choice. And yes, tires make all of the difference and in the summer when it makes the most difference for me, I would not want anything but a super sticky tire.
