PS2/PSS. Over the course of a tire's life, what's a few hundred dollars?

It's honeymoon fund or front lip. Consider $250 more and probably 10k or more miles less wear. Doesn't make sense... I might hit the drag strip 3-4 times and that's it.

Yokos were like 30k ps2s are mote like 15-20k miles. I figure DW's are about 20-30k from treadwear and reviews.

umm... if youre concerned about wear and not stupidly high levels of performance, get a conti DWS. You wont notice the difference between that and a DW, will give you excellent wet traction, and is affordable

ETA: 520 UTGQ vs 3xx for the DW.

whats keeping you away from the v12 evo? Its quiet, and has more than enough traction in both dry and wet, durable, and is inexpensive

doesn't seem to be as good as the DW's or even a hair below the S.Drives. Personally I'd rather just get the S.Drives again as I've had good luck with them in the past but I sold the new set I was going to put on the car a few weeks ago in hopes of going a step up in performance.

Conti's sell out fast apparently. They're also ready to jack up their prices 10-20% because of oil.

I had Conti Contacts 2's on my slk 350 and loved em, the Hankook v12's are every bit as good and wearing far better and are even quieter...I would buy em again even if $75 more per tire...very pleased.

I think i'm just gonna still try for my DW's but just run up 1 size on the sidewalls and deal with the speedometer being a bit off... will save mileage on the car also.
Those tires just seem like the best bang for your buck and I'd hate to pass um up right now.

if Julius objects strongly then maybe i'll consider PS2's or the new B-stone Potenza's and if those are just too $$$ for me to bare I'll get either the RE760's or V12 Evo's and call it a day.
