I think it was a 2006 car, so yeah, pretty old. Are the tires hard to source?
Did the car have the rear hatch glass shade too?
My e91 doesn’t have it but the e70 does. Just a cool piece to have for an enthusiast. But if I mention it to anyone else, they’d be like okayyyy cool? LOL.

Not so many parts on the rear door shades.
You just need to find e91 panels in your matching color and the plastic window frame trim. The hooks and clips are pretty cheap online.

I have those. Got them off eBay.
Light output is great. 1 year so far and no issues.
But I did notice some TINY pitting on one light the other day.
Looks normal to anyone else.

I should have put 2K clear coat on them when I first got them.

Edit: You do have to transfer your up/down adaptive motor into them.

Well, today was the one day the E90 was supposed to shine.
We hardly take it out on trips, I just use it at random times.

Washed and waxed, filled with fuel and off we went!
But around corners, it would misfire and go into a limp mode! “Fuel injector cut out”
Probably user error, I installed a new FPR last month and I probably didn’t leave the aftermarket fuel pump level or something.

Drove back some 10 miles and took ol reliable e93 out.

I changed the valve cover and gasket. I had no leaks with my old valve cover, but the PCV was shot. After changing it, my LTFT went from +13% to zero. My gas mileage went way up, since the car was no longer over compensating and running rich. My tailpipes are now clean instead of caked in black. Life is good.

No rear window shade that I saw. Cargo cover was missing as well. I'll revisit the side shades next weekend. The car was actually in decent shape, not sure why it ended up there.

There's a 2006 530i with a MT in the yard... that would be a really sweet conversion for someone!

I noticed this too on my car over the weekend. Mine had this issue with the 2 wires going to the angel light pre-LCI. I had to replace one and noticed one wire (green) disintegrating. I covered with black tape.

i replaced my front brake pads and rotors. I went all OEM on parts as I have purchased big brakes to rebuild and will eventually do new wheels/tires/suspension/BBK in a weekend-long extravaganza at some point.

The rear left fender liner and new TPMS receiver arrived today, but I'm waiting on some wiring from a junker to repair my rear wheel well.

Removed the FPR and LPFP.
Small kink in a line from the FPR that feeds fuel to the massive Walbro 525 fuel pump bucket.
Bucket is completely submerged in fuel, how does this cause a fuel cut out code???

Fuel cut out still present after assembly and fixing the linked line.
Removed FPR and fuel pump a SECOND time just to look around, nothing unusual.

Assembled and fuel cut out issue hasn’t came back after driving around the block.
Ok that makes sense…

Used it to transport my inflatable kayak to the boat launch on the river. Guy next to me in the Tacoma putting his jet ski into the water looked at me like "WTF?..." when I backed the 335i with convertible top down the ramp, and hauled out the deflated kayak.

Advanced Elements Advanced Frame Elite is a great. You can pick one up for less than the cost of TWO index-12 injectors...

Installed new dash trim with new aftermarket vent sliders:

My 2010 E91 had the standard wood trim when I bought it in 2018 and I just didn't like the look. I tried wrapping it, plasti-dipping it, painting it, and finally just broke down and sprung for a used set of the brushed aluminum and liked that as the best yet. Except . . . there was this one large scratch (actually, several scratches clustered together) right smack in the middle of the longer piece and it has bothered me every time I looked at it. Also, the aluminum shell was separating from the plastic base and no glue I've tried worked for more than a few weeks.

Last week I noticed the vent slider tab on the passenger air vent was broken off - my daughter stayed at our house to look after the dogs while we were away and she used the car a few times. I've attempted to fix the broken sliders before with varying success and decided it was time to spring for the aftermarket Vent Tabs that solved the "two-pieces coming apart" problem of the OEMs. That spurred me to poke around on Ebay to see if I could find a better long dash piece. The problem is that it is always a full set for sale and I didn't want to spend that much just for the one piece I needed, and, of course, still taking a chance that it would be in no better shape than the one I already had. But, found someone selling just the two dash pieces for, well, still a lot but not as much as for an entire set. Pics were pretty good and it appeared to be unscratched/unblemished. Seller confirmed it was in good shape so I took a chance.

It arrived today and it is in really good shape - only one small blemish and it is very small and not very noticeable. The new pieces were missing most of the sliders so I disassembled all of the vents on both the new and my old pieces, cleaned them, and then installed the new slider tabs on the best sets of vents.

Now just need to make sure no one touches the dash, bumps it with a purse, sticks their feet up on the dash, or even looks at it sideways so that it stays unblemished!

It is an improvement - no significant blemishes and not separating from the base. I'd call it a win, a sort-of expensive win, but, y'know, BMW tax.

I can't see anything but the random non-centered bmw logo on the dash.

Realigned, tires rebalanced (after BMW did apparently a horrible job…)
Toe was indeed all over the place. Had the alignment redone for free, drives like a whole new car!

Also just got back from NY, had a rental Mustang there. Poor thing was abused (MY21 with only 30K on the clock, suspension damage and one different tire) but the steering feel was great, and I’d honestly consider one for my next car if not for the Mustang stigma…

Agreed they have nice driving dynamics however things I hate about them:
1. Visibility over the hood
2. Blind spot and rear visibility
3. Useless back seat

I noticed the same thing - don’t care about the rear seat but the blind spot monitoring & backup camera were essential. It didn’t have front PDC and boy, did it need it!

I should really test drive an M235i, just to see if indeed BMW has fallen as far as I think it has in terms of road feel. Hardly looking to get rid of my E90 but it’s good to see if there’s anything else out there…

I picked up a complete set at an area pull-a-part with plans to wrap it. What did not go well with that? Originally thought about CF hydro-dip but thought I would try a brushed wrap first.

I could never get the inside corners around the vents to not eventually pull away. I tried several different vinyls and tried every tip and trick but was never satisfied. I do have the dash and door trim on my E82 and very happy with it (but no inside corners on that trim).
