I replaced my rear brakes and flushed my power steering fluid.

I was finally able to clear the brake code.

Now I am just waiting on a TPMS connector and some ABS sensor wire to clear the rest of my codes and finish repairs from the pothole incident.

Tomorrow I'm gonna wash/wax and scrub the hell out of the interior.

Replaced the original expansion tank in the 850i - was from 1991!!!

Also, thinking about going for another alignment. Car still follows bumps in the road while braking, steering feels a bit off- too loose almost. Will probably go back to a shop I've used in the past as opposed to the place my Indy uses. Wonder if I'm just used to a different set of specs. All suspension components are pretty new, though my M3 control arms do have about 60K on them…

Learned that you can in fact fit a 70 lb dog into a 2 door BMW.

Also 4 Doors I promised you a pic of my bilsteins - here's what's on the car:

I'm inclined to refresh with the same or similar some time next summer. As far as I can tell, they either came with the car or were replaced some time before I got it. I'll have to look at my service records.

Those look like B8s! Great shocks, bit hard for my tastes though.

If you’re on stock springs, let me know when the time comes if you’re interested in my B6s - have maybe 8K on them, replaced with Koni SAs.

For me, got the car inspected. Will be changing sway bar bushings soon as they’re a bit worn (originals with 150K on them).

Also getting a small vibration from the front right wheel. While it was refinished maybe 2 years ago, the job was not done well so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s bent. Will probably just get a new wheel rather than paying for it to be refinished once again (if it even can be).

Pulled the trigger and ordered new underseat subwoofers for the E91- went with Isudar. I put Isudar door and rear speakers and subs into my E82 and have been very pleased.

I replaced the four door speakers on the E91 a couple of years ago (GRS B-100s) when I put in the Dynavin head unit so that's good. But the new subs in the E82 helped me realize the E91 needs the same love. Probably will also add some tweeters - need to look into those.

Opted to replace my K&N filter instead of cleaning it, cleanser kit was 59$ vs $66 for a new one filter off Amazon.

ECS is a great resource, but I usually gravitate to FCP and Amazon these days due to selection and price. eBay, too, on occasion, when I need a used part or something unique and non-automotive related.. ECS charging $59 for something that goes for $19 on Amazon is...wow. Even at local AutoZone it was $19.

I just used the kit this weekend to clean mine.

Replaced a cracked windscreen washer pump that's been leaking for a few months now... I thought it was leaking from the rubber grommet but NOPE... The plastic unit itself cracked and it's pissing out from the side of the housing under use/load.

Added tweeters to my 2010 E91 in anticipation of new subs (arriving sometime next week, I hope). Door speakers were done last year when I put in the Dynavin stereo.

While I had the door cards off, I disassembled the driver's and took the peeling rubberized coating off the pull handle pocket. It's better but not perfect - while the area touched by hands frequently was peeling/bubbling and came off easily, other areas have not deteriorated at all and either were difficult to remove or would not come off at all. Oddly, the window switch, which was not peeling, was easy to remove.

Also, have noticed the last few days it is slow starting. It may be starter time - I did not think to change the starter when I did the 3IM a couple of years ago . . . D'oh!

So this happened to me today, shredded serpine belt smh. Especially frustrating since I changed the belt and tensioner 3 years ago as preventative maintenance. I did go with comptech brand over OEM, never again.

I replaced an H8 to make my driver's side angel eyes work. Then I pulled both VANOS and cleaned them. I hooked each up to a 9v battery to confirm function.

Then I loaded up pro tool, cleared codes, and the car is all happy now.

Well.. technically, the xdrive is saying that it has worn oil, but I'm running xdelete, so I'm not in a super rush to to that flush. I'll likely catch it when I do the trans and diff in a few weeks.

I'm starting to get curious about my oil consumption. Basically looking like half a quart per 3,500 miles
