Changed the return oil cooler line. Luckily I saw it when it just started to leak.

All things being equal, driving technique makes all the difference.
Since the N52 doesn't have direct injection, the intake doesn't get carboned up. It is probably a low estimate - 24 is what the screen said, it was reset about 70 miles of city driving before my trip. I'll have to do my own math on my next trip!

Lol I must have forgotten to put my wheel lock back in my car after fixing the broken brake sensor.

1) can I order a new one? and 2) I think I should just replace it with a regular lug.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Looks like I can buy: https://www.amazon.com/TEMO-Removal-...1303467&sr=8-5

My code number is 40. I found one for sale here as well: https://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/...mm-36136762344

Also, woot. I have the other four lug nuts. Once I get these locks off, they are FIRED

I personally don't use wheel locks. They are pretty pointless. Most thieves who actually want the wheel have all the tools to get them off without using the special key socket.

Front drop links. Lemforder lasted about 20k but knocking started at around 15. Trying some Meyle HD, we'll see how these get on but nothing better than fixing those annoying knocking sounds!

I checked the oil, coolant and air in the tires as I have a project about three hundred miles away from home next week. I’m looking forward to a road trip, shooting some images and generating a nice invoice. Perhaps clients are getting comfortable with working again.

I did the MTech rear when it was involved in a hit and run last month, I certainly would have preferred the front but will get to that shortly.

Not on the car yet, but pretty good score at the wrecker: Complete LCI brushed aluminum interior! Cars get picked over quickly, especially BMWs. I couldn't get to this one for about nine days after it came on the lot, but nobody else wanted these pieces! Most are pretty clean, with just the driver's side trim being scuffed. Center console looks bad in the pic, but just needs to be cleaned up. It was a smoker's car, so hopefully can get all that smell off with a good scrub down.

Picked up my car from the shop. Had them fix all the oil leaks, VCG, OFHG, and others. Valve cover leaks worse than before and now my idle feels like a top fuel car. Kinda bummed that I have to bring it back in

Got it realigned - for the 3rd time in a month…
1st shop seemed simply incapable of rendering a proper alignment.
Between that and the…political posters all over that shop, will not be going back.

Used my trusted shop, Gran Turismo East. All’s well now!

Had tires rebalanced too but there’s still a vibration at 80MPH +. Given it happens on certain roads, I’m inclined to think it’s just the crappy roads here. Had new sway bar bushings installed too. The old ones looked fine, but the steering has notably tightened up.

Been a minute since I gave an update but this summer has had me doing all kinds of other things. Spending 9 weeks on and off in Austin Tx also kept me away from doing any kind of car schtuffs.

So yesterday was new radiator and coolant hoses for the 06' 325i day. Old radiator had developed a pinhole leak in the upper elbow which sprayed coolant all over the engine compartment. Lovely.

Also, even though I thought I had ordered all the hoses I needed apparently I missed a couple. In truth, this car has an insane number of hoses. Maybe I'll get the rest of them next time I order. Or I'll miss one again. Who knows. Wasn't a deal breaker yesterday but definitely don't want to not change out the few left.

And a question for anyone that may have the answer.

idrive is broken. Car had a wheel sensor issue when I acquired it which of course triggered the TPS alarm. Well since it's an idrive car, the reset for the tps alarm is not on the wiper stalk/instrument cluster menu.

Anyone know how to reset it?

Thanks.

Had a kinda crappy start to the week, so of course I bought a used split armrest from eBay.
It's from an M3, so the Novillo vs Dakota leather contrast hopefully won't be too off.

Got a helluva a deal on it too. Who says retail therapy isn't a thing?!

No help on the iDrive, but yeah, lots of coolant hoses. That's been a BMW thing since at least the E30 cars. On those there is one short one going to the back side/bottom of the intake manifold that I just walked away from. The one on the E90 that's like that is the one on top of of water pump/thermostat. Little short elbow with clamps. I did the rest, but walked on that one. It'll be fine...

The idrive screen has a tpms reset option in the vehicle information section .
