Seems the E91 market has slowed down recently. Bummer for those of us still searching.

I know it’s not an e91, however things are slow and it’s nice looking at a quick glance. Pretty local too could maybe get eyes on it if someone wanted to get into an e61.

I believe that to be "Barbera" red. This one has been for sale for almost a year I believe. I'm fairly local to it and could check it out if anyone is interested. I'm holding out for a 6mt/rwd.

Why do they always have to be on the opposite side of the country! I would buy this today if it were closer.

These cars are impossible to find if you limit your search to your local area. Get on a plane and buy it or have a PPI done and pay to ship? One of mine was shipped from Kentucky to Nevada and the other I picked up in Southern California, well worth the effort.

I understand this, but I cannot come to grips with buying one based on pictures alone if having shipped. On the other side, Flying and driving back is more of a time issue than anything with a family.

I completely agree. I bought an e91 sight unseen earlier this year. Car arrived in better shape than shown in photos. My strategy was to spend a few weeks with it, then sell it if not living up to my expectations. Not too risky in my opinion. I had a surprise or two, but happy with my purchase.

That’s what PPI’s are for. Have the seller take it to a reputable independent shop and speak with the tech who looked at the car. If the seller isn’t up for arranging a PPI, walk away.

The odds of a car you want showing up in your backyard are very slim. Hell, when these cars were new I had to order my e92 to get the specs I wanted.

That was exactly my thought process. If the car isn’t up to par, you can always sell it. It’s just a car, not a lifetime commitment!

Strange statement. A dealership would probably want $1500 to replace coils and plugs. I cannot fathom what was repaired for $6000.

It's because it's an e91. If it were an e90, it would have been $600.
