Swapped and changed dinan intake, so the engine cover and intake match

The mismatch under the bonnet, had been bugging me for a while.
All is good in the world again

Meanwhile the CF/Kevlar dinan in on its way to a new home in Tassie (enjoy brah)

Thanks Trev... the dinan comes in different versions, CF/CF and CF/Kevlar, although I think you only get the plain CF now

My buddy went back and prefers the v6. You should get a custom tune mate.

+1 for Nizpro tune. I have had their 98 tune, e85 tune with no PI and e85 tune with PI and all of them performed flawlessly

They don't remote tune as they put the car on the dyno to create the custom map, typically spend 6-8 hours

Yeh you do sock, however when your're getting multiple tunes at the same time there is a discount e.g. $1200 base 98 tune + $600 e85 tune. This is also how their ford tunes are priced at.

I guess we have been spoilt with our cars with respect to tunes because of low priced remote tunes. However, for people that have had JDM cars would know a $1K+ tune has always been part of the list of modifying cars. I think its really important to get the tune right as its the heart of our cars. Just my personal view, this is why I searched around for local dyno tuning for our cars. Its great we have nizpro as another option now

Thanks Tawf. I'm two minds about PI. For the price of install plus safety aspects and if during DD how often is the PI really accessed. Decisions decisions

Yeh I guess PI is really only to captalise the full potential of any stage 2 turbo and also reduce stress on our already weak hpfp. That said agree the way we control PI is not ideal outside the factory dme. In terms of how much one would access PI for daily driving prob not a whole lot unless your sitting at above 3500rpm all day long. I must say for me the PI integration has been smoother than I anticipated for daily driving, WOT pulls as well as more than 12 quarter passes (touch wood). I am running fuelit stage 3 pumps, EOS mainfold and AIC6 split second controller that was programmed by Nizpro. Decisions Decisions

If only someone would develop and produce a reliable, high flow HPFP replacement so that PI and TBI wasn't required.

I think Vargas is up to something to improve DI using some sort of new shot gun setup, but they are a very long time away of releasing anything for market I believe.
