1914 Oakland Model 43 tourer. This car featured electric lights and listed for $2,700 in 1914. Note the RHD. The Oakland, through a convoluted path, was an ancestor of Pontiac.
Note that a new Ford Model T could be had for $440 in 1914.

1968 Maserati Mexico coupe. 485 of these cars were built from 1966 to 1973. They were powered by either a 4.7-liter V-8 of 290 hp or a 4.2 as fitted to the Maserati Quattroporte.

In 1947 David Brown bought struggling car company Aston-Martin. A few late '40s DB-1s were followed by the DB-2, which set the pattern for the company.
Over 400 DB-2s were produced starting in 1950. The majority were fixed-head coupes, but there were 49 drophead coupes as well. Power came from a 2.6-liter DOHC inline six of 105-125 hp.

The Packard Model 30 was built from 1907 to 1912 and featured an inline four with 432 cubic inches (!) that produced 30 horsepower.
The Brougham closed car was relatively rare -- the Tourer more popular.

Bentley built 182 Speed Six models in the 1930s. This one has a body by Vanden Plas. The Speed Six featured a 6.6-liter inline six with four valves per cylinder that put out 180 hp.

1963 Aston-Martin DB5 Coupe; a car that likely had a boost in sales after being seen on the big screen driven by secret agent 007.
Inline six of 4 liters with 282 hp and a 5-speed manual.

Porsche-Studebaker Type 542 (1952)
Studebaker could trace its roots all the way back to 1852; half a century later it built its first car and by 1954 it had merged with Packard. From here on things went from bad to worse, but in 1952, in a bid to stem the decline, Porsche developed an all-new V6-powered four-door saloon. But Studebaker's head of engineering, a certain John Z DeLorean (1925-2005), felt it lacked refinement, it was poor dynamically and he hated the design. The car didn't progress beyond the prototype stage and by 1963 Studebaker was out of the car business. |

1965 Mustang "Shooting Brakes" original concept.
"Barney Clark worked for Ford's advertising agency, J. Walter Thompson; he teamed up with designer Robert Cumberford and car enthusiast Jim Licata to build a shooting brake based on a 1965 Ford Mustang. They commissioned Italian company Intermeccanica to make the car, with a bottom-hinged tailgate, retractable rear window, relocated fuel filler, and folding rear seats. They presented the car to Ford, which said no, having already considered the idea when the Mustang was being developed." But many were built by independent manufacturers and enthusiasts that are still on the road today. |

Here's something very different: the Ford Model T One-ton Truck, also known as the TT, which revolutionized commerce, replacing horse-drawn wagons in many commercial applications. It had a modified Model T drivetrain with 201 cubic inch four-cylinder engine that had a top speed of 15 miles per hour.

The 1959 Chrysler 300E convertible was powered by a 413 cubic inch V-8 engine with either a single 4-barrel carburetor or twin 4-barrels and had 350 or 380 horsepower. It also had fins.

Here's a 1938 Delage D8-120 cabriolet with body by Henri Chapron. 66 D8-120s of all body styles were built -- a rare car. As the model designation implies, powered by a straight eight.
