Ive got an Akrapovic muffler going on on Wednesday. Ordered some yellow DRLs. Just did all the 50th anniversary badges and the Black M240i badge. Fitted some M Performance carbon fiber paddle shifters. Got a carbon fiber shark fin on the way. Will probably get a front splitter for it but unsure if i want carbon fiber or not. Other than that, i want to send out the DME to Femto for unlocking so i can squeeze 500hp out of this badboy. Oh and a catless downpipe and some carbon fiber interior goodness

Nice! You've got quiet the list haha. I need to hear that thing after you get the muffler installed. Is it the full system Akrapovic offers for this car or do they have just a muffler?

The system doesn't hardly change sound at all until you do the downpipe swap. Even with the stock exhaust a downpipe change makes quite the difference in sound.
I'm just changing the muffler so i can get the look the car deserves ie carbon fiber quad pipes lol

I do think the quad exhaust looks far better. I'll eventually do an exhaust with the quad pipes. That and a downpipe will be in the future.

I had a Giulia Quadrifoglio before my M240iX. I got a lot more respect/love in the Alfa than I do in the Beemer. BMW driver hate is definitely a thing in the UK.

I think BMW drivers on the mass scale are not liked on the road and I don't blame anyone. I see it everyday and most of the time its the x5s or bas 3 series non enthusiast spec that just seem completely oblivious to anyone else on the road. Sometimes the badge seems to give people a weird sense of entitlement.

Modification

Thanks for positing your rim/tire set up. I have been really wanting to go wider on the rims/wheels than the stock 225 setup. I was curious with that wider tire and rim setup if you needed to modify the car in anyway to avoid any rubbing etc.? Also, was curious what the price range of this setup was (if you could pm me it).

From all the research I have done on the forums this is the widest square set-up you can go with no issues if you are at stock ride height. I have no issues with rubbing at all. If you want a staggered set-up you can go wider in the rear and a little smaller in the front. PM sent on this set

how is the fitment in the front and how much would you say it pokes in the rear. Thinking about going for a squared setup but might adjust offsets

Fitment in the front is perfect. Front tire sits perfect in the fender. I think rear is completely fine as well. My rear tires fit pretty flush with the top of the fender. The fender tapers off which makes the rear seem like it’s pokes out alot more than it does, just depends on the angle. I wanted a square setup I could rotate and this seemed to be the most popular. You could definitely do a little less offset and it would still look great. Or if you have the ZTK it would be perfect.

if you lowered it. Do you think it will rub. I have Eibach springs on the way but no wheels yet. Apex suggest using a 3mm spacer in the front. Do you think that will make it poke to much.

Definitely will need spacers if you lower it. It would poke out a little in the front I’m sure if you had the 3mm spacers. It’s very flush right now on my car.

Thanks for sharing, those wheels are awesome. I was looking at the site bspkforged. I don't see a place to request the width and offset, ect..
Do they contact you after placing the online order?
Also is that a Black Satin or Gloss finish?
Any front on and rear on shots to show the poke?
Drilled for OEM caps? I've not seen those caps before.

As you may tell I am looking to replicate what you did. Perfection.

Thanks

I just emailed John directly. If you use the contact us page it will go to him as I believe he does it all. If you know exactly what you want you just have to let him know otherwise he will help with best fitment. He was honestly great to work with, sent me cutaway CAD drawings and renders pre-production to make sure I was cool with everything. I went with satin black as I think it helps hide brake dust and dirt better. Pretty much all his wheels are custom so he will just send you an invoice through his site once specs are confirmed. Any other questions let me know, I’m happy to help.

Edited: Sorry was working off my phone and missed some of your questions.

Mine were not drilled for OEM caps which sucks. He may be able to do so now, definitely something to ask. I will try post some better shots to show the poke.

Just visited the same site yesterday. Great prices for true forged wheels.

Had the exact same questions as you. I would imagine everything would be answered by contacting. But didn't want to contact unless I was considering placing an order.

Let us know if you find out the specifics

Is it still about a 4 to 5 month wait ?

Did the wheels come with the BMW center caps, or did you buy those yourself ?

I have not checked back in for awhile now so lead times may be better but another question John would happy to answer. When I ordered it was a side gig for him to help out fellow car enthusiasts but I think he has had to put much more time into it now because he started getting a lot if interest. The center caps came with the wheels at no extra cost. The were the worst part of the whole thing TBH. They showed up a pretty dinged up but I didn't care as the wheels were a great price and I can just repaint them black myself. I have a buddy who ordered a set of wheels from John for his Alfa and his center caps were CNC'ed from metal. Those things are awesome!

I'll be looking to order in the fall for a spring 2025 install, need to put some more miles on my P Zeros, but this is how I am going. I like to research everything far ahead, been looking at so many wheels, but finding anything OTS to fit has been very limiting. This is the answer to it all.

Just one more question - your wheels are the standard black , with Satin Finish ?

Just the regular black , not hyper black or double gunmetal or anything like that ? Not brushed finish ?

Your wheels look perfect on the car!

Thanks brother
