E9X Fuel economy
I have see there has been a lot of posts about fuel economy of our beloved E9x's. The official bwm figures are all a little on the over positive side.
I was thinking why don't we all add our figures to this post and then i will average the results out per engine, build year and stick it in a table. if we then make the results a sticky all new comers looking at buying a e9x can see the true running figures. And us owners can see where we should be, and if we have any unseen issues. Combined results only, and none of this resetting at m-way speed. just give the figure on the dash. the more data we have the better the results My figures are E92 - 335d - 2007 - Auto - 37.1 mpg Last edited by baggy; 09-05-2010 at 05:38 AM.. |

E92 320d, manual, post September 2007, overall mpg is 41.05 over 2.5 years with 18 months of that full of 2-3 mile journeys - i.e. very bad for fuel economy.

Brim to brim average over 17 months: 26.5mpg Best tank: 33.3mpg Worst tank: 16.3mpg Good mix of town, B-road and motorway work. Best tank was a long motorway run, and the worst was last winter in ~0 degree temperatures doing lots of short journeys in town. |
