Reddit tends to amplify negative emotions, there is alot more balanced selection of people on an instagram post like this for example. It isn't all positive (3 negative comments and some spam) but generally positive. There's an older of a ZB m2 with alot more hate, personally I think the angle in the first few pics and ZB as a color are doing the G87 no favors, but I think it's pretty telling how few negative comments there are when it's posted with a more flattering color/angle.

On reddit you can have a post like that with 985 upvotes, (94% upvoted) and all the top comments are negative. This is because negativity is "edgier" and "funnier" and people who think "oh that looks fine" aren't going to even go into the comments section, but people who prepared their little hate boner are prepped to comment and only upvote comments that agree with them.

I've noticed more and more that even on the same subreddit you can have two threads where the comment consensus is wildly different based on the wording of the title bringing in people that have strong feelings about it. Everybody has seen a ton of pictures of the G87 now, the only ones foaming at the mouth to comment on reddit are the people who want to shit on the design. Everyone in my circle who is into cars either really likes it or thinks it's perfectly fine, and both me and my wife love it, which is all I really care about.

I like Reddit and generally find the commenters to be cool but there is something about the M2 that really gets their dander up.

I agree, the f87 is extremely soft and feminine, but the g87 is boxy like the e30/e36. I actually think the ZB being soft (which I luckily can get away with as my daughter's will be in the car with me 95% of the time) on the boxy meaner looking g87 will be a bit ironic and am oxymoron.

I still like the f87, but the g87 in my opinion is much better looking.
