From the article: "Zero to 60MPH takes 4.9sec, and although Alpina doesn't quote a 0-100mph time I'd be amazed if it took much more than 10sec flat to reach three figures."
Hmm...does that mean that 1/4 mile (which is 107-110mph from what we know about 335i) at around 11 sec? Or does Alpina trap 1/4 mile at much higher speed?

you looking at a magazine time. If you go buy BMWs numbers in Europe on the 335 its 5.4-5.6 to sixty. So campared to that the Alpina is a good improvement. BMW and most brands are very conservative when shwoing acceleration numbers for advertising.

I noticed one other thing. Look at the times for the M3 and it says 4.8 to sixty so the Alpina is a definite improvemnet then.

M3 would be my choice.....And anyway, I read somewhere that the alpina B3, is going to cost $90000. Maybe its on www.edmunds.com/insideline.
So it's a simple choice.....Buy a M3...for the 'M' heritage....or we can just chip the 335 to get b3 performance... Last edited by OBI_agent; 09-25-2007 at 09:42 PM.. |
