Carefree huh... If that was true, just look at how many times you tried to piss on someone's parade here in this thread alone + other threads. The bread crumb trail you've left shows you're anything but Care free. Not sure who kicked your dog this morning & pissed in your Cheerios. But it wasn't me, so feel free to go fly a kite, kick rocks & punch sand with that... ( I'm "care free" mindset ) you claim to have. LMAO
Back on topic fellas. I have the iSweep 2000 pads & they're phenomenal to have on a proper M-car. Even the heavier M5 & X5M owners have positive feedback on them.

The pads will bed themselves after a few hundred miles of normal driving. A lot of ceramic and NAO pads explicitly tell you to not bed them now also. I'm not sure it's blanket good advice and I would just follow the pad mfg recommendations.

I am trying to decide between the 1500 and the 2000, and phenomenal is what I am looking for. LOL. So, could you share your typical driving? Surface streets and canyons? Do you track the car? |

I am not happy with the initial bite of my 1500s. I am thinking about trying the 2000s

They are supposed to be equivalent to stock pads in terms of bite. That's what their marketing materials say and what people are reporting. Are you saying it bites less than stock? |

Also, I CONTINUE to be absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the lack of brake dust. There is such minimal dust that I can't even tell if it is from the pads or just general dust from driving on the road. ABSOLUTELY LIFE CHANGING, especially if you are one that is suffering with a complex wheel design to clean, or a matte/flat finish that is hard to wipe clean like a gloss wheel is |

As for the brake dust, there is almost none.

We really need a deep-dive test done on the 1500s vs 2000s on bite, specifically.

That said, I personally think BMW brakes are annoyingly touchy stock and some loss of bite could be welcome at times. |

If you want OEM bite or better get the i2000’s
The 1500’s have the least amount of dust . Give similar performance to stock, but some folk do report less initial bite. YMMV No first hand experience .. just based off research & conversation with others

Yes fellas, the iSweep 2000 pads have substantially more initial bite compared to the 1500 pads. I often drive aggressively on the street with the occasional cannon carving runs & moderate track days with excellent results. The only tradeoff is a touch more dust & it's well worth the increase in break torque when things get pretty hot.

I've been reading around other forums and the consensus seems to be something like
Little to NO DUST (90-95% LESS DUST) + 90% bite of OEM = IS1500 Reduced dust (70-80% LESS DUST) + same bite as OEM = IS2000 Also reading you should not track either of these pads as they "glaze" quickly. I'm not installing my iSweep Pads until my new wheels come, so I think I'm going to swap the 1500's I have waiting for some 2000's. I really desire the initial bite of the stock pads. |
