Does anybody know if the two series will be getting 8.5 I saw a YouTube video where sales associate claimed all the M light cars will be getting 8.5 and the M variant as well he was sitting in an X7 M70 and it did have 8.5 and the M variant so it seems to be true I was just wanting if anyone else had heard that

I believe it was said only those cars manufactured after August 2023.

I just placed an order for a M240i so I would get it ?

There are a few posts on this. It seems that the head unit that is in the M240i is the issue, not necessarily whether 8.5 will be made available.

My August build has the old head unit which apparently is not 8.5 compatible.

About the only thing I "might" like better with 8.5 are the climate control menu improvements. However, having put 1400 miles on my car now, I pretty much set it at 72 degrees and leave it on automatic so I don't have a lot of need for the newer menus. It would be nice to have hard buttons for the heated seats though.

I care more about the Aesthetics of the M version is why I ask not the end of the world if it’s not available would just be nice
