Question about balancing/alignment in Boston area

Hi all,

I drive an '09 335xi that has seen its share of potholes and poor roads throughout the Boston area.

My front right wheel is very slightly bent, and I was looking to have it straightened by RimPro, as I had my rear right wheel (which was much more significantly bent) straightened by them a while back. I was also looking at getting an alignment done, as my car is pulling to the right a bit, and was also looking at getting a balancing done as well.

My dealer is giving me a rough figure of about $150 for an alignment and about $80 for a balancing. My car is stock and has the OEM RFTs it came with. Now, I know both arguments about getting it done by the dealer and getting it done by an independent shop. This is the first time I'd be getting both services possibly done, and wanted to get some input on it.

Thanks.

I thought alignments would be included in your regular maintenance.

My car is leased, so scheduled maintenance is included. I also get things like free wipers, brake pads, etc. Alignments and balancing are not considered a part of BMW's free maintenance, as far as I know.
