>>> HP Autosport <<< Racing Brake 335i Two (2, Yes 2) Piece FLOATING Rotors!

Introducing the FIRST TWO (2) Piece FLOATING Rotors for the 335.

EDIT: NOW OFFERING 20% OFF RB BRAKE PADS WITH PURCHASE OF ROTORS.
For info on pad offerings, see here.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...93#post8735193

With all the performance modifications that have become available for the e9X 335i, it is alarming that nobody has taken the time to create a stock replacement rotor that performs better. Everyone has been so excited about making their car faster but failed to think about how to make it stop. Save for the few that have bought big brake kits, there is huge gap is braking performance.

Fortunately, for every 335i owner, one company stepped up to the plate with a solution, Racing Brake. They have developed a new two piece rotor that is a DIRECT replacement for the 335i. The new rotors weight 4 lbs less and per corner in the front that is a saving of 8lbs of rotating mass. Rotating mass makes a huge difference when shaved in comparison to static weight. Not only this but the rotors are drilled and slotted with Racing Brake’s patented cooling design. You can read more about it below.

Whatever power level you are at, even stock, you will notice a significant decrease in brake fade and an increase in rotor life especially for 335i’s that are putting down some big numbers. You can accelerate fast but can you brake just as quick. These aren’t a replacement for big brakes but if it’s time to get your rotors replaced, it is a small admission price to get the increased performance that these offer.

Rotor Material: Racing Formula Alloyed Gray Iron & Heat treated
Machining: Open Slot
Surface: EDP Coating w/cross cut grinding on friction surface
Click here to learn how RB two-piece rotors are built differently than the competition.
Weight Comparison
One-piece (when new) 23.75 lbs.
RB Two-piece 19.75 lbs.
Weight Savings: 4 lbs.
Material:
1. Alloyed iron formula adds strength and heat resistance. Heat treating further improves rotor performance for a more uniform and stabilized microstructure.
Design:
1. The cooling vanes are of a convergent nozzle design, which increases airflow and turbulence and makes discs cooler.

2. The center-mount flanges for hat mounting to the rotor ring have several benefits.

o It allows the ring to be used on either side of the vehicle simply by mounting the hat on either side of the ring (unidirectional).
o The stress load transferred from the ring to the hat is balanced.
o Air inlets are widely open to both inboard and outboard sides of the rotor. More air suctions and even temperature on both sides of the disc surface.
o Heat transfer from the disc surfaces to the hat is even and minimized by increasing the flange length and the airflow around the flanges.
o Mounting flanges are on both friction surfaces ultimately provides excellent heat balance.
3. Exclusive full floating design with 10.9 grade alloyed hardware. Hardware is DACRO coated and crimp locking. DACRO is highly corrosion resistant and provides a film for easier movement between the hat and rotor ring as disc expands and contracts and the crimp design provides positive engagement without rattling or torque loss at temperature.

Fasteners:
1. Self Locking - 2 Pieces
2. No springs, No glue, No clips!

They are not required. Two piece floating rear rotors are under development but won't be done for a while.

Does BMW cover brake rotors under warranty and free maintenence? If not then I will keep this this thread in mind when I need to replace a set.

Great work on that!

I've been using RacingBrake's ET500 compound in conjunction with the 2 piece floating rotors on my MZ4 Coupe for street use only, and I can go for MONTHS without washing my rims up front. The rears (CoolCarbon pads and OEM rotors)? Not so much. 2 trips to work and back and it would be covered with a coat of reddish-brown dust.

Shouldn't this expire 2/15? In the above post you say it has already expired...

I will extend this incentive to anyone who contacts me and place the order by Friday, the 11th.

The manufacture pulled the incentives, there is nothing we can do.

These rotors are shipping as I write this. For those who placed their orders early, you should be receiving an email with a tracking number shortly.

For those who were on the fence regarding paying for something early(there was the 20% off and $20 flat rate shipping incentive) and taking deliver 3-4 weeks later, you can order yours today and your order will ship within 48 hours.

2 questions: When are the rears coming out? And will you have a similar incentive for the rears (20% off)?

There is no plans to release the rears anytime soon. However, when it does I am sure the 20% off will be available for a limited time.
