6% off an ordered M2 right now is ridiculously good, jump on that if its real. In the before-times 6% off an M-car was the expected starting point of negotiations. Brokers also use sites like leasehackr where nationwide you can see deals from various dealers doing ridiculous incentives, typically from high-volume "puppy mills" (I picked up an ordered TRX during the pandemic for 11% off MSRP for example, but it was 5 states away - what a trip!). For everyone here seemingly on the west coast who are still being forced to pay "over MSRP" - there are plenty of dealers east of you selling for MSRP or slightly under - email is your friend. You don't have to buy close to home - buy from somewhere else and have it shipped, go pick it up, or do PCD. You don't have to play that game - seems intimidating but it's not, dealers are quite versed in selling out of state to individuals, they make it super easy.

Thats wild, I was lucky enough to snag 1.5k off my G80 last year but I can't imagine being able to get anywhere passed that for the G87. Any tips and tricks on how I could attempt to? |

Exactly. Depends on the dealer and the time that you hit the dealer - I suspect with the M2 when the 20+ HP increase for next year was announced a lot of people on the list deferred to 2025 and the dealers were left with some allocations they just wanted sold. I went from #7 on my local dealer's list to #2 (my favorite number apparently if you believe my avatar haha) in 2 months. That HAD to be people getting out of line who either got an allocation elsewhere or more likely decided to wait (thinking interest rates would come down later in the year maybe?)
For gee80thing -- If you don't want to be contacting a lot of dealers try to find a broker if you can, or use a car buying service like PenFed has, or just make a list and email a bunch of dealers. My first F80 in 2015 was $1000 under invoice for a first year model car and I jumped on it, know your price and just say yes, don't torture them. Got that just by emailing 6 dealers asking for their best offer on an ordered car and it was at the end of the month (I didn't plan it that way, just how it worked out). Had to go out of state but it worked, I had spoken to my local dealer and they had a waiting list and rather than string me along recommended I try elsewhere.

picked up the car today, so it took from Feb 22nd production date to April 8th for a southeast delivery
Car is great, was getting a lot of attention at the dealer. Some water spots and light scuffs on the frozen paint but I had my CA keep them from doing anything to the exterior, I'll hit it with Dr. Beasely's paint cleanser. |

From genius today:
Received at VPC in Newark on 4/8/2024. Work order started on 4/8/2024. (Will be getting MP HAS). Work order expected to be completed and estimated to leave VPC and assigned to carrier by 4/13/2024 My car changed to “at the port” days before it actually got to the Newark port. For a few days there, it looked like it got off the port in Baltimore, but seems to not be the case. CA said the car should be at the dealership in CT “inside of two weeks.” It looks like I’ll take possession some time next week, which will then be picked up by detailer directly from dealership to get ppf, ceramic, and tints. UPDATE (4/10/2024): CA said it’s estimated to arrive at the dealership on 4/15/2024 |

the interior is really nice, infotainment screens are a massive step up from the previous gen ones I had in my '22 m340i and the carbon pack is a must-have.
So far I'm really liking the steering in sport and the ZF8 M gear selector is a huge step up from the standard BMW one as well, so satisfying to go into/out of reverse and over to drive, switching from manual paddle back to normal is more intuitive too |

I'm gunna stick with dr. beasley's ceramic coat although I may end up getting ppf on the front bumper and rocker panels, depends a lot on where you live some people report their front end looking sand blasted after a few years, others like me have to be a foot away from our bumper looking for chips to notice anything
