18x8.5 et10??

Hey guys anybody know if you can run an 18x8.5 et 10 on a pre LCI m sport rear? It has been lowered on h&r sport springs so not massively low, standard tyre size 255/35r18

Cheers

Yes you can, but there is slight possibility of rubbing. 8.5 et10 will extend to same point as 9.5 et23, but 255/35/18 on 8.5 is a little meaty. You might need fender roll.

Awesome thanks am planning on going down to 225/40s anyway no need for 255s with the power I've got

With 225/40/18 you most likely don't need any fender roll. I had 18x9.5 et22 with 235/40/18 at rear and it fit without any modifications.

Would adjusting the rear to have a bit more negative camber negate the need for arch rolling?

Basically yes it will help, if it is only slight rubbing. But only to a certain point. You don't want too much negative camber.

Definitely more aggressive than I'd recommend. You'll need to do a bit of work to fit a setup like that.

I fitted the spacers last night and took it for a quick drive, no rubbing although I need to try it loaded up, the tyre isn't the close to the arch static, even with someone in the back seat and sittin in the boot.

I bet this won't be your last wheel set up, what I would do if I had to do it all over again. Aggressively roll as much as you can in the front and shave the rears, call it the day. By then you can do 9.5 et 22 front (225-235/40/18), 10.5 et 27 rear (245-265/35/18) comfortably if you do something like that. But always more room than that.
