I just got a $406,75 bill from FedEx for an USD 1467 FCP Euro invoice.
Duty 100.99 GST 217.76 Customs electronic fee $88 First time this has happened. |

I've had this happen with Fedex and DHL. I usually split large orders from FCP so each shipment is worth less than about $1k.
Other stuff has managed to fall through the cracks though. Got a set of coilovers from Demon Tweeks for about $1.6k, no GST/tax paid at checkout and went through customs without getting hit. You win some, you lose some.
