Personally I would love for the IOMG parking sensors in the Mexico pix to be a production option. That color is spectacular IRL on the M3/M4 and would be killer on the M2.

Thanks for the info Project_F87, this thread has got me very excited, sold my OG M2 about 18 months ago for a 996 911.

Have just sold the 911 and now looking for a replacement, G87 is a big possibility.

Aplogies if this has been answered as i have been away from the forum for a while, but have we any idea when Bmw are planning on releasing official pics? Hopefully this thread will give them a hurry up.

However the smart money is apparently on the M4 CSL or the M3 Wagon. They are a bit more Villa d’Este clientele worthy I guess. I really hope it’s not the wagon. My wish list of the car to be presented goes like CSL > M2 > G81

Brooklyn is definitely not as blue as it may seem in certain pictures.

I daily an 05 TSX in meteor silver metallic, which is actually pretty similar to Zandvaart blue, and they're very different.

Now I have to park next to a BG car tomorrow just to see how different they are.

Sounds like BMW is borrowing more Lexus design cues. I’m picture IS-F with that side skirt description.

Are you really asking this question? If something is leaked to a person with access to this forum then chances are that other leaks have happened as far back as 3 or 4 years ago when this car was first being designed.

Never mind that BMW has a presence in China and pictures could have easily been shared, leaked, sold etc.

Hyundai beating BMW to the split headlight design language looks like BMW copied them until you look at Hyundai’s leadership and consider where they came from. Stuff gets leaked, shared, stolen in the car industry all of the time

Honestly he has no idea either. He told me official reveal should be summertime, but he doesn't know exactly. The car they just got in is a late pre-production stage vehicle, which in the pipeline of development cars is extremely close to production level cars. This essentially means it's almost go time. The car even had the anniversary BMW emblems on it!

Enjoyed the 996, fantastic car, completely different driving experience than the F87.

Wing for me. I liked this style on the E30 and E36. It completed the look of those cars and the same seems to be true for the G87.
