What do you guys think?
O.K so here is my problem. I am the proud owner of a 2011 BMW 335i coupe, and I want to do some light exterior modding. I was going for a carbon fiber theme throughout the exterior of the car. I was thinking of doing carbon fiber eyelids, carbon fiber grille, carbon fiber m3 style spoiler, and carbon fiber mirror covers. The only problem is that all of these pieces except for the m3 style spoiler are not available for the LCI coupes. I have been in contact with sponsors and most say they are expecting these pieces to be released in about 1 year. That's kind of a long time . My question to you guys is: Do you think I should wait and do the carbon fiber look OR get the matte black grilles and painted m3 spoiler now, and forget about the mirror covers and eyelids? I know carbon fiber can be a hard look to pull off, so I want your guys opinions on if I should wait or not. Thanks so much, and I value everyones opinion greatly!

I guess I would say this is purely up to you on doing the CF theme. Some think it looks stupid...some like it. I got the CF rear diffuser but that's where it stops for me. I did matte black for the rest. I MIGHT do some CF around my rear license plate or something just to match the diffuser. The CF wrap for the interior is a different story. That's a very popular item.
I know there are vendors that sell the CF M3 spoiler. But you could get the CSL boot lid instead which is what I plan on doing soon. And if you do a CF exterior them, you could do that with the edge of your lid. I've seen that before and it looks good..

CF exterior pieces don't work for me. I did use CF Roundels and wheel centers which I like. I tried the mirror covers and they just looked weird to me. I do have a spoiler with a CF top edge, but that's very subtle and can only see it as CF up close. Grilles are matte black centers, and I used the silver edge from the original which give a good separation between the jet black paint and the matte black grilles.

BMW has CF mirror caps for 2010 and 2011 cars I believe. I have BMW CF throughout interior (on red) and I love it....doesnt look like every other car out there. CF licence plate frame, mirror caps and black grills and trim. I don't like CF wrap....its just tape. CF M3 lip not yet installed. I love Carbon Fiber.

Thanks for all your opinions. The BMW carbon fiber mirror covers are outrageously expensive and I would never pay that much money for just covers.
