New to the Hawaii forum...any CODERS in here?

Howzit,

I'm new to the Hawaii section, but not to BMW. Used to have a 335i, M3, 328i and now in an 06 330i. This one is a little different from the rest in the sense that BMW hadn't seemed to get their "soft stop" and "neutral idle control" sorted out yet. Basically, it's impossible to inch the car forward because the brakes will hold, almost as if on/off (due to soft stop). Also the car noticeably shifts into neutral at stoplights to save on gas (due to neutral idle control).

I'd love to disable both features but I don't have an old computer or coding cable. Can anyone on island do this? It's driving me insane and everyone who rides with me thinks I don't know how to use the brakes, lol.

I'm not familiar with any coders on the forums, but I know there are some who are able to on island. Best bet is to post to some local BMW pages on facebook. Are you on oahu?

Maybe a little late, but were you able to get this sorted? If not, we can do it remotely.

I lived in Hawaii 2000-2003 and again 2011-2015. Such a beautiful place to take a drive with the Bimmer!
