Tint

My G87 is currently in production and I'm contemplating window tint. Is there any evidence of issues related to daytime infotainment dimming depending on how dark the tint? I recall reading about this with other recent BMWs but haven't seen anything on the G87 forum about it. Thanks!

Im at 60% on the windshield and overall 30% on the rest of the windows. No issues I’ve noticed with the infotainment dimming.

Are you referring to the HUD (with full front window tint) or the iD8 screen? If iD8 screen, no issues (I have front strip and rear window at 20% and side windows at 30% on my 23 M240).

Nope. The Supra definitely has that issue though. ID8 has smarter ambient light sensors.
