No More Ducking
I said goodbye to my 2022 Supra 3.0 and picked up an M2 today. I put a deposit down on the M2 over a year ago and originally bought the Supra as a stop gap, but it exceeded my expectations. So much so that I considered passing on the M2 when it arrived. But, I'm the end, I couldn't pass it up... But I'm still ducking out of habit when I get into the M2.
Too soon for driving impressions but the interior/tech is definitely a step up for sure. Although iDrive 8 seems to be laggy at times? Anyway glad to be back in the family (even though I never really left)... |

Congratulations, I had the exact same situation. I bought a ‘23 A91 MT Supra to try it out. I thought it was a safe purchase that I could resell after a bit without a loss. I never expected to like it so much. I wasn’t initially in love with the styling or small roadster like cabin, I just wanted a manual transmission and loved the idea of BMW and Toyota both having their hand on a car. My other car is a G80 Comp xDrive, so I wanted something with a manual that was different as a second car. I sold the Supra last month after taking delivery of the M2 manual (to replace the Supra). I honestly still miss it a bit, although I immediately liked the M2 for the improved interior and the S58. I can say though that in my case the M2 is more like my M3, than the Supra. I agree with each of your initial comments. Let us know more as you spend more time behind the wheel. I’ve only had mine a few weeks and with only a few hundred miles so far I’m still warming up to it. I expect the manual to be more fun after the run in service, when I can explore the higher revs.

By the way - you appear to have the same exterior spec as me - color, wheels and roof.

With the limited colors out right now, this is probably the same spec I would've gotten. And yes, I actually prefer the sunroof too.

Congrats. Im over half of my break-in kms now at 1112 and rising as of today. First service booked for 8 Sept. Then the fun can truly begin. You have a really nice looking M2 and a sunroof is always a good choice!
