Front shocks part number E91 msport query?
Front shocks are getting quite noisy and a little crashy, no history of when they were replaced last so time to change both of them.
I’ve got E91 325D M sport 2008 auto (pre lci). Real oem is telling me FL 31316786013 FR 31316786014 When I am looking at the above it doesn’t seem like they are part numbers for the m sport suspension but I could be wrong. When I look at shock manufacturers with the above part numbers, the “for m sport technology” is not included. When I find the ones which are for the m sport technology shocks, the OE listed part number is different. I don’t suppose anyone could tell me what the correct part number is for my car? Also what would brands/makes would be recommended? I have a stock setup so just looking for a good quality stock replacement. I’ve mainly been looking at the TRW and Sachs shocks so far Thanks |

Here are what I put on my '09 e91 in February, 2022. Mine has sport suspension, so similar to your car. These are Bilstein B4, which replace OEM.
LF 22-145277 RF 22-145284 rear 19-145266 I have used these B4's in numerous BMWs, and have been very satisfied with them. |

Are the shocks which fit sport suspension the same as msport? Just as I notice some of the shocks specs will say “sport suspension” and others “msport technology”. |

Got there in the end, I was being blind. There is a section on real oem that I missed which says for m sport suspension and the OE part number brings up shocks which do state “for vehicles with m-technology and sport suspension”.
