My car after 3 months....
Here is my car after 3 months of ‘modding’ and fettling
So… 4 New 19" wheels and tyres A pair of LED Rear Lights LEDs for the Number Plate Lights A Bluetooth wireless dongle for my iphone Rubber boot liner 2012 DVD for the Sat Nav A M3 style boot lip An AC Schnitzer style roof lip (I didn’t put it where it was supposed to go.. lol but I don’t think it looks bad.) A set of Genuine BMW M sport Mud Guards A set of M Sport car mats A set of LED side repeaters A K&N cartridge replacement air filter A set of four door wind deflectors A Disklok Three coding tweaks (Instanantious MPG and Speed plus door chirp) I moved my OBD port A remap A private plate That’s it.. I’m spent… and I am very very happy. Thanks to everyone on here that has helped me and given me the advice I needed.. You are a credit to the spirit of motoring enthusiasm and this forum! Phil |

Looking really tidy.
I'm not sure about the dark rear lights though or the dark indicator lenses. Personal thing. If you are into the dark thing, black performance grills would add to the look as they do anyways. |

Looks really nice mate! Hard work shows! Personally, don't like the dark Lights but it's a very individual thing and as long as you like it and are proud of it, that is the absolute main thing. Love the wheels!
P.S. Where did you pick up the 2012 Satnav DVD? |

Spot on Phil. I liked the rear led darklines.
I guess front black grill is left out.

Nice work Phil, very smart look. As has already been posted, the source of your wheels and the LED side repeaters would be useful please....

Hi guys,
Thanks Wheels... My thread here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=739626 BM Autosport Eastbourne Side repeaters eBay item no 120624405566 Yes, I think the dark grills are next plus I am going to look at the front lights. My comments on smoked.. It's hard to explain but they are grey and actually are not as dark as they appear in the pictures.. They are identical to black lines that I also have... I think the darker lenses go well with the silver I have...but it's all an opinion and down to taste. I'm thinking of getting a giant M badge for the roof.... Out of all of that list the best thing was the remap..... And meeting Sam for coding antics..(sorry it was so rushed m8) |

Looking nice.
The bottom brake side lights should all be showing. I had these in my previous E90 and when fitted them I had same as u only half lights lighting up so took car down to Quarry Motors who rewired them and all started to work. Something to with the way u supposed to wire them. |

Hi, ok cheers I'll look into that however they are are working as designed... If you look at the normal standard lights, only the far outer bulb lights up and the inner is there as a back up... Depo have done the same... BUT... It's a fair comment and I was actually thinking of wiring them up differently so they both come on...
Ii've also been thinking about the grilles and don't know which ones to go for.. As you can see I have the full chromed ones.. Options: Matt black Gloss black Carbon fibre effect Chrome surround, black grille I think the gloss black would go good with the gloss black detailing around the windows etc.. Has anyone else had this dilemma? Thanks |

Not sure about those LED's, not as nice as the blacklines. Really regretting not getting CSL style wheels on my car now.
Would think about a rear tint as well and then remove the rear wind deflectors. |

Why did you get a Bluetooth dongle? I thought it was a part of the Idrive package or am I wrong? It's just that mine has Bluetooth and i thought it came with the Idrive.

Car looks Fab (love the wheels), but I'm afraid I'm another one not liking the lights - but as long as you like them, then

Not keen on the rear lights but otherwise nice. Imo keep front grilles 'silver' - upper eyebrows of black performance grille will be too stark a contrast on a silver bonnet - jmo.

Again thanks guys!
The marmite analogy is a great way of looking at any of these things.. Wise man Jason. My problem is I am impatient and I get bored quick... So some of this things might get changed anyway..... Because that's how I roll.... Hehe Yes, I am torn between the different grills Robin... My Bluetooth dongle is for the music streaming from my iPhone it plugs in the aux port in the centre conol... Not the Bluetooth telephone streaming.. That's works fine.. Check this thread and look for my posts http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=706396 Me |
