If you're in 8th gear for a while, on semi flat roads & not giving it the beans, this make sense. That S58 is impressive.

16.7 MPG since my last refuel. What am I doing wrong?
I have yet to go on any road trips in the M2 to see what MPG I could get cruising in 6th (manual car) in cruise control. My old M240i I could get 32-33 in Eco mode with the 8 speed auto.

The 16.7/mpg seems a bit strange. We’re about 22/mpg combined since delivery. Neither of us are road warriors but I do step into it much more than her. Are you in Sport/Sport+ full time and/or heavy off the start? Maybe driving WITH the wind more is a plan. |

What is this comfort mode you speak of? On both my G42 M240 and G87 M2, I get waaaay better mileage in sport and with more foot into the pedal. They eat gas if driving at 30-40mph. |

Yeah, I'm hovering right around 20 mpg. Not necessarily any spirited driving, but definitely not shifting with economy in mind either.
I'll have to see with some longer drives, and see if that nets any different results. |

We averaged about 25 on our trip from Lexington, KY when we bought the car, haven't road tripped since. I would think in the right conditions, with an AT you could hit 29 or so. Commute type driving is returning about 20. Absolutely do not drive with economy in mind.

Cracked 30 mpg on the trip yesterday. Only difference was engine in Efficient this time, everything else in Sport. Auto cruise set at 84 mph, tires showed 36 psi all around.
