Juddering/Struttering during Acceleration

Hi all,

I recently bought a 2014 320d XDrive (manual). I bought it with a known issue which is it:
- judders/stutters during acceleration.
- It doesn't do it out of gear.
- It happens throughout the whole gear range and between 1000-2500 revs
- It's worse/harder when accelerating heavier
- it almost feels like the traction control is slipping

I have taken it to a garage who suspects it's the front diff. There are no error codes being thrown out on the diagnostics.

Any suggestions? (apart from the fact that I shouldn't have bought it haha)

Transfer case. Typical symptom.
What's the mileage on the car? It has likely been driven with unsuitable tires/wheels.

I also have this exact same problem with 125k miles on the clock, did you get anywhere with this?

Before changing the transfer case, try changing as much of the transfer case fluid as you can extract and replace with new fluid. The transfer case is very sensitive to the quality of the fluid
There are a few threads or posts on it.
I had an independent garage extract and change fluid at 130K miles No difference.
Not sure if they used the correct spec. fluid.
I extracted about 350 ML out and replaced it with correct spec fluid. Noticed a significant improvement. Did another and replaced another 350 ML.
Shuddering almost completely gone except for full throttle acceleration.

I have a 2015 320d xdrive with 90,000 miles on the clock and have the same issue.

I am going to try changing the transfer case oil to see if it fixes my issue.

I also have an intermittent slow crank issue that I am hoping to fix.
