e91 LCI N43b20, "misfire"
Heya again! My car just came from a mechanic, all injectors replaced, coded, new spark plugs, coils, timing chain was fine, new cylinder head cover. Hooked up inpa and started driving while watching the operation mode switching homogenous, homogenous-lean and stratisified mode, when my car is switching from those operations it feels like a "misfire". had 30EA code, did the nox desulfasation but the "misfire" still appears. Any ideas ?
No codes present. |

Hi, same car, same engine, also nox issues, also planning on replacing spark plugs myself.
What kind of spark plugs did you put in? I found this blog that insists that only a certain kind of spark plug is to be used https://bimmerprofs.com/spark-plugs-...series-engines |

The 30EA is unlikely cause your misfire. That's telling you your catalytic converter is sulphurized and basically what I do is take for long drive build exhaust temp and drive 72mph+ for 30mins or so. Seems to do the trick only if you don't have other codes logged and interfering. You also need half tank of fuel.
Did you use index 11 injectors? And ngk plugs as above post? These engines are very very fussy and sensitive. |

NGK ZKBR7A-HTU plugs, installed noxem, operation modes now working as intended, changed maf, cleaned vanos and sensors, now getting jerking under 30mph, full throttle fine, only when lighly applying gas it jerks. on cold stasts still getting really rough idle for about 30seconds, also operational smoothing values goes -300 (-200/+200) are limits.
