PPF coverage?
I live in Chicago and need PPF for my incoming m240i, Melbourne red.
What do people recommend having done? Front including fenders and full hood and mirrors. Besides that, is it also a good idea to get the the gloss black side skirts and rear bumper trim done? Interior pieces, as I’ll have gloss black inside? And if anyone knows a one stop shop in Chicago to get PPF and ceramic coating done, let me know. |

I've driven by BRZ year round for 9 years / 190K miles and the only part that has taken a beating with chips is the front bumper. Little to no chips anywhere else.
With that said, I decided to also do the hood as I plan to keep the car a while and want to keep it pristine. I don't think it's worthwhile to do the fenders personally, but it's your car/money. Here's what I did: - Front bumper - Full hood - Kidneys - Headlights I am considering doing the black side skirts only because overtime I have a feeling it will start looking like crap with hairline scratches etc. As for ceramic coating, I recommend you do it yourself if you have a garage and save yourself some money. I am planning to use Carpro CQuartz. |

I did a full PPF as well. For piece of mind since I plan on keeping the car for a long time and I like my cars looking brand new.
Bare minimum? I would recommend full front: bumper, hood, grill pieces, lights, a-pillar, possibly front fenders if in budget. Also HIGHLY recommend the gloss black rocker panel. Just breathing on them can cause scratches… I’m in the Chicago area as well and had Chicago Auto Pros do mine. They do amazing work wrapping edges and making it practically invisible |
