For the people hoping for a red car, this may be a possible color seen on the door jams of the wrapped prototype seen last month.

Could be part of the wrap and not a color option at all, but typically on wrapped vehicles door jams are left unwrapped.

Color choices for the G87?

I've never seen it in person but this might be Melbourne Red which is offered on the 2 series

I would like to see Imola Red, Laguna Seca Blue, LeMans Blue and/or Avus Blue offered. I do not expect all four, but I would be delighted to have just one of them.

Probably just basing it on the fact that all the recent M cars have been Toronto Red.

Possibly, but Toronto has more orange in it where this looks a little more red. Definitely not imola red.. bmw also will never offer some of the old m colors without individual paint because they make more money on it that way.. I doubt we will ever see classic colors like laguna seca, imola, Avus or Dakar yellow.

There is absolutely no orange in Toronto red. The silver metallic flakes in the paint create the orange hue in certain lighting conditions. I've owned Toronto red for 3 years, I myself have never confused if for orange.

Hmmm... that's a great catch. Melbourne or Toronto? Probably Melbourne.

I think we'll get less

My prediction:
Alpine White
Black sapphire
Brooklyn Gray
Toronto Red
Zandvoort Blue

I really like fire orange but feel it lightens more in the sun due to metallic then the lava orange. Lava looks darker to me. I think sunset is the same way in terms of more metallic and lighter then lava as well. I think the lime rock park e92 m3 orange is closest to lava.. so many shades and honestly all really cool, but doubt we will get any of them as standard except maybe sunset

Alpine and one of the blacks are always a given. I will add Skyscraper Grey and Isle Man Green to your list.

I think I may go the individual color route (if budget allows of course) and either go for one of these oranges or blues (miami, voodoo, or riviera). I think the oranges will stick out a bit more which is fine but it may be a little too much.

Yeah I agree.. for 5k it may be worth it. I just hope they clean up all this production delay stuff. I think individual paint on the G80 delays order by like 2-3 months to an already long process. There was a guy on YouTube and here that ordered imola red which is one of my favorites but he said it took forever to get. Also, it's so close to Toronto red which makes it even harder to pay the premium plus the wait. I would rather get a standard optioned color and then add carbon buckets and the carbon roof for the same money

I'm hoping for Technoviolet. It's a heritage color, VERY popular with the fan base, and just different enough from the M240's Thundernight.

Thank goodness. Tired of seeing this posted so often on Bpost saying it's Orange. It's a bright bright M red colour.

Individual for the M3/M4 right now is at $3750 with the M Anniversary discount. This car could be less.
