I feel the interior would look much better if they upgrade the center console+manaul stick design to match with the idrive 8.

Still having trouble with the rear. There's times where it's ok and times where it's not. When allocations come, it will be a tough choice.

This pic really highlights the mismatched leather grain. Looks terrible.

Varnasca armrest and Merino seats.

Yeah, this definitely seems how production models will come when optioned with merino carbon buckets. Big let down for the cost of Carbon Package.

I still find it difficult to believe BMW would call the option "Full Merino leather" if it had different leather on the armrest and rear seats. I wonder if the Carbon Package's delay itself is related to needing to produce 2 Series rear seats in Merino to build the package.

It looks like they are walking it back. The ordering guide still says Full Merino but BOY does not say "full".

Do they EVER put real leather on the armrest or center console lid? Pretty sure it's always pleather, probably for durability reasons moreso than cost savings. As for the rear seats, I'll be shocked if they put cheaper leather on the back seat to go with Merino on the fronts. THAT would truly be a BS move.

I went and took a look at the M2 today. For reference, I have been on the fence on this design but I generally was leaning towards liking it. I have owned an OG M2 along with an E30, a few E36s (M3, 318ti), and an E46.

Overall I feel mixed. It is better in person, but not by much. The design generally works, but there are several design elements that are just odd. Mostly how they attempted to integrate the sensors on the front and rear. The fender flares do look great. The back is not as awful in person. The front is slightly worse in person. That's just my opinion. The camera really distorts pictures. I would snap a picture and look at my phone and think "ugh, that's not what this looks like".

ZB is a hard pass for me. I like weird colors, but this car does not pull it off. It's way too big and chonky for this color. I was surprised that it is much lighter in person. The heavy saturation in many pictures is NOT representative of the color at all. I noticed my camera would over saturate and not hit the white balance perfectly when taking pictures. The picture I attached is the closest I could get to actually represent what I was seeing in person.

The interior is nice. I actually don't mind the screen. I would of course prefer real gauges, but such is life...

I am generally not one to care about what type of leather is in my cars, but the mixed leathers on the seats and armrest is really dumb. It's noticeable and would bother me. The rear seats being cheaper looking wouldn't bother me because you can barely see them and I would never use them.

I am on my dealers list for an early allocation, but I'm not completely sold yet. I think if I saw one in AW I would like it more. All I really learned was that it's not worse in person. It's priced right and should be a good performer.

I stopped by today. The car will be there until the end of the weekend, I was told. I have to say, ZB would be my last option to choose from, well… I would better get another car, ZB may not be the best fit (IMO), BUT! The color looks so much better in person. Depending on the camera it may look very saturated but it’s not. The car has a great presence even by the Xmas tree. LOL!

Now, true or false, the advisor said this: dealer would get 2 allocations (maybe more but they are not sure) and there is a $20K additional cost (not ADM) since they would give you something for it. Want to guess what it was? A $20k ceramic, I mean, gold coating! SMH.

It's insane how jacked up this new M2 is… As if it's still sitting on shipping blocks

Almost like it has xDrive

Something about the look of this car I just don't like. It's 'trying' too hard.
Love the engine, love what is being said about the handling. Can't get passed the look.
I had a 2016 M2 in mineral grey, it was gorgeous -but not an M engine. Now I have an M2C in sunset orange - the car is great love the look and the performance, but time for a change.
Went to the unveiling in Toronto and saw the G87 in person, just not feeling it.
Anyone know when individual colours will be available for the G87? Maybe a fresh colour a new rear bumper and performance exhaust might make this car pop. Maybe.

G8x collects enough stuff as it is … that is way worse. Track debris could be a major problem with that opening.

Yes they put merino on the extended merino for the M3 and X5

This car is polarizing even within my own mind. So much of me wants to love it and a few aspects I do really like…BUT, to me, it comes across "forced" and looking "cheap." Sort of generic and perhaps some of that could go away when seeing the car in person but just don't know. I do know that this color is absolutely atrocious.
