Kill Stories
I thought it'd be interesting to start a kill stories thread since some of the other bimmer forums have them, and it'd be interesting to see how well we can do against other cars. Has anybody done any interesting runs lately? I haven't lately, but I'll be taking my car to the dragstrip this weekend.

Not really a 'kill' story, but I happened to come across a riced out Mitsubishi eclipse (I had a '99 eclipse before I got my 335) and wanted to see how it compared. I honestly didn't think it'd be as much of a shit show as it was.. But, then again, the 335 hits 105 in 3rd gear whiled the eclipse does about 75. Was very happy to see my old car fade into a speck in rear view mirror

I truly humbled a high school kid in a turbo sonata, that might be rape though.
Waiting to put the JB4 in before I start my kill count. Love the idea of a kill thread though. |

On the way home from work last night. I pulled up to a light and see a m3 reeving his engine at a audi a4. The m3 killed the audi so we get to next light. And the audi turned off with his feelings hurt. We took off and I clearly had three car lengths on him. He pulls up to me and ask me what tune I have. He told me he had an intake and his car was an 04.

Ruined an Audi salesmans day yesterday
Was driving home from (drive past an audi dealership) I see a brand new A4 cutting in and out of traffic, so i decide to give chase. We get to a red light and I see the driver (assuming it was the customer) point at my car and turn to the passenger (assuming it was the sales guy) sales guy laughs and nods his head in a "yes" fashion. (My guess is the customer asked him if he could beat me with the a4) I decide to play, quickly hit the dtc button and hit my paddle for 1st gear, start break boosting with moderate revving, both guys in the audi look over i flashed a "peace" sign, turned forward, light goes green and im gone. (audi definitely gunned it as he shot ahead of everyone else, but never got close to me) lol at the next light the sales guy wouldnt look over and the driver kept staring at my car. Good times had by me. Almost wanted to roll down my window and say "you still wanna buy an audi after that?" |

I've had a fun month or so.
1) My buddy has a Nismo 370z and we finally got around to see what would happen, it was bad. I expected to win by a wide margin but not by the bus links it ended up being. I kinda felt bad about it afterwards because he loves the car lol 2) a "poor man's" type R swapped EG coupe with a T3 turbo. The car is completely gutted and weighs ~2200 pounds with driver. From a 40-140 pull I was ahead by about 2 cars and pulling. 3) a built GSR swapped EG running a 35r. The car is gutted and weighs >2000lbs with the driver. From a 40-100 roll I was ahead by about a car and a half 4) a coworker has a 2013 mustang RS3(supercharged 5.0 rated at 540hp) and he was fairly sure a BMW with a straight six wasn't even in the same ball park, we finally got around to a 50-110 roll and were dead even the whole pull. He was more than a little surprised. I can't wait until I get my meth tune and have another go |

Can't imagine how pissed I would be at BMW if I spent the $ on an M3 and kept getting beat by a regular 3-series with under $2k in mods.

As a former M3 owner and a 335i and now a 335is, I will say that N54 engines are awesome. Don't get me wrong but I would rather have the M3 to drive around fun curves but it is wrong to compare bro vs bro. Take the 335i/is to the track against the M3 stock or FBO vs whatever mods avail for M3 then you will see why people still have smiles on their faces in an M3. The torque on the N54 is amazing and is awesome up to a certain point but the M3 will keep you smiling for much longer when you have a 8000rpm redline, the LSD and the awesome chick in the passenger seat because you have a 70k v8 track car.
Side story, I was behind a RS4 on the highway and we were both behind a really slow car on the left lane. So when that car got out of the way, the RS4 takes off but slows down when he sees that I wasn't following him. We get stuck again behind some slow cars and at the next available stretch, he guns it again but so did I and even though it wasn't a kill story, I was catching up to him going about XY0 mph (y = x + 1) before we get to another batch of slow cars. He didn't pull again a third time... Bash on Audis but respect the fellow BMW bro's M3 :P!

I got rid of the 335i because it was coming up on warranty (I never had problems) and used that as a reason for myself to get a new car .
