Clutch Pedal Help!

When I drive my friends 335i the clutch pedal feels a lot stiffer and engages closer to the clutch stop whereas my 335xi pedal feels mushy throughout and engages the clutch much higher. I can shift without grinding gears pressing about half way even with a thicker clutch stop.

Is this a pressure plate issue or an easy adjustable clutch pedal issue or another I vs XI nuance?

We both have removed CDVs and clutch stops, but he removed all the clutch pedal springs - that shouldn't make THAT much of a difference, right? Especially for the engagement range.

I have no slipping of the clutch either.

Any insight please!

thanks but I've seen this - the spring removal shouldn't be the cause of the big difference in feel of my clutch and my friends could it? Especially the engagement point...another member just said its my clutch plate wearing down.

The "big deal" is I told you what your issue is. Just as I would have told any customer that came into the shop with the same complaint.

But you can sit here and wait for the rest of the internet yahoos to give you advice like "it's your pedal spring". I don't really care.

lol who are you? I have no idea who you are so yeah I'm going to get opinions of more established people on this forum and get multiple responses. What shop do you work at? I will gladly tell my friends back in the 206 to never come see you even if you know your stuff just b/c you seem like a douchebag.

yeah, clearly the guy who said "it's your pedal spring read this thread" doesn't read my post in its entirety, but you are no better by thread jacking my thread with useless banter. Do you have an issue with people doubting your knowledge?
