Damn, that frozen pure grey is badass! As I mentioned in an earlier post, for me it came down to either this or frozen Portemio blue. Tough choice.

I noticed those as well. I did NOT notice them turning on when in reverse.

It is pretty neat. I have a lot to go when it comes to remembering/noticing/learning these features!

My strategy (atm) is to try to get as familiar as I can with the car and software... then - when I start feeling bored hook up Bimmercode and tinker with things.

Good call. I'm thinking I'm doing the same thing.

Found a tiny rock chip in the windshield.

Gonna have to get that patched up before it turns into a crack!

I’m seriously considering windshield PPF when I get my M2… ^^

It’s like a constant sand / gravel storm around here, no matter the season.

Pulled up to my break-in service today with 1,209 miles on it. Closer than I thought it would be when I originally scheduled it early this week.

They said they checked the alignment of the wheels, and then adjusted the alignment of the steering wheel itself. (I had noticed a very SLIGHT left-side down mis-alignment while going straight.) They said alignment was covered by BMW for up to 2,000 miles.

Oh, and I haven't done the software install yet, as the app is telling me. Do I really have to have the car on/drive around for it to complete? Doesn't seem efficient.

No, I believe you just need to start the process while in the car and then you can exit it.

Congrats on break-in. Did you request the alignment, or did they come to you saying it was off?

200 more miles for me.

I had told my CA about the slight steering wheel thing about a week after I got it. He made a note.

So today, when I showed up for the break-in service, I told them again and the service advisor made a note to as the technician to check.

*Random side note: I did point out all the cars (including non-M cars) that had the rear brake caliper clips on them in the showroom, and they were like "the technicians confirmed it doesn't come on the M2...weird".

LOL

I have to drive into the suburbs on the opposite side of town a time or two each week, and when I do that, it definitely stacks the miles a bit.

But it's not bad doing so in this car!

Did my break in service earlier this week and have the same 2 issues-rear caliper clips and steering wheel slightly off-center. They had to order the clips so I am at the dealership now getting both addressed.

There is another thread somewhere that confirms 2024 model year and up M cars don't include those rear clips. But if you have a decent sales rep they should just order them for you free of charge. Not much to ask for after buying a 70k car.

After seeing your and the other persons feedback on the alignment i should probably check out mine before I get to that 2000 mile threshold.

Agreed on the clips. They should be included, but no biggie. I even offered to pay for them but SA took care of it.

Regarding alignment/steering wheel issue, my son took delivery of his M2 last fall and his was way off. Mine was not near as bad but still misaligned. SA took care of it, no questions asked.

Went with Exosheild, car is already at PPF shop I figured why not. Replaced a windshield on my previous G80.

Sorry for the ignorance but what are these brake clips and what do they do?

Also, for those that got any kind of pil cooler protection (mishimoto for example) did you put it in shortly after getting the car of waited till your breakin service?

I read some owners wait till their breakin service but isn’t that taking a chance of something possibly going wrong?

These clips give the rear caliper some "M" branding. The calipers have an indent in them and it fills that void with the clip.
An oil cooler guard is on my list of things to add but no rush for me.
