I originally tried to keep the fins and modify using heat so the airflow was still there. Didn't hold in the long run. Wound up having to put in the mesh screening (diy project). You can also get the mesh (if using metal, make sure its stainless), stainless rivets and make it a siy project. |

Aside from driving and cleaning the car I haven't been doing much but am up to 2100 miles and picked up the car in late January. Also, I think I landed on what might be my favorite modern feature with the car: the auto rev matching with the 6mt. I fricken love this setting and so glad I don't have to learn how to heel-toe. Initially I didn't know what to think of this but I effing love it now.
Sometime soon I will be getting my Michelin PS4's back on the wheels and adding some 15mm spacers all the way around.

Verdict was: 15mm front 12mm rear. Currently waiting to see the finished product at the shop.

RW carbon rear spoiler. Perfect fit. Easy install. Removing the OEM spoiler and tape residue was a bit of a pita until I remembered I had one of those 3M stripe off wheels. Once I found it and hooked it up to my drill, adhesive was gone in a couple of minutes. That thing works great!

Installed this CF look lip as a test a few days ago. It still alive! Gave her a nice bubble bath and ceramic coating refresh. Now all shiny and with no places to go. Well, need gas… as always!

Did u have any issues? Also do u have close up photos of the Stek. I had my M2 done here in NY. I’m having issues with the rear ppf. How long did they say to leave it to cure?

Back on the dyno.
Mike Botti has had the car for a few weeks and started tuning it on Monday. Hoping to get it back dialed in and ready to rip soon. (I stole this pic from TheShopCT IG) Edit: Just heard from Mike. Seems like there is an issue with my CSF Manifold. He said the IATs were the highest he had ever seen on the dyno with an S58 with 6 fans running and 60 degree ambient air temp. This is not good. I just want to enjoy this thing. I have no luck. Spent $7k to buy the best manifold on the market and I get one that's potentially defective. Thank god there's a lifetime warranty. I'd sell the car before I'd buy a replacement. This also precisely why I abandoned remote tuning. I knew something was off with the car. If you're going this far down the rabbit hole, you really shouldn't remote tune the car. If I didn't keep pushing to have the car looked at, I would have blown the engine. |
