The reality is I simply do not care that much about the option and eventually lost interest in going round and round about the matter. I have repeatedly expressed my tremendous dislike for the option. I saw no further reason to run this into the ground nor to do it in an incorrect thread. I am done discussing it here.

Just catching up on this thread. I live in a total blackout area at night and the way BMW Headlights follow my path down the road is incredible. If anyone wants a video l’ll post one. The Auto High-Beams are the usual variety but the active turning with the road and the weak Anti-Dazzle code with a car in front is awesome. Can’t wait until we get to fully decode.

Would be great to see the video of the headlights in action in a real world situation on a dark road.

I’m still not totally sure what the anti-dazzle does - possible to capture that with a video as well, or is it based on oncoming traffic activity?

Interesting I have to double check my car but I thought it was just turning off the high beams.

Correct but the adaptive lighting expands around the car in front and still follows the direction of travel.

That’s cool but I’m wondering why it goes around the car if it’s dipped. Wouldn’t dazzle the car in front. I’ll check mine too, looking forward to your video!! thanks for sharing

I like the black headlights and black tips. Also like the black wheels. But this is why BMW offers options

I went for black and black too. Love this color but I selected BG since have been driving a red car since 2009.

Not true, black accents in headlights are not standard. I had to order the Shadowline package to get the "tinted" headlights. I actually dont like the black chrome tips, does anyone want to swap my black exhaust tips for the chrome tips? (Car arrives in December 2023).
