N55 Injector Kit

Production date 05/2010, N55.

Can all 6 EU5 injectors be replaced by EU6 injectors?

Also, what are index 11s and 12s etc? Is that an N54 term?

EU5 and EU6 injectors are different and are incompatible with each other. They'll fit, but the engine will not run right. EU5 injectors should only be replaced with EU5 injectors, and EU6 with EU6. Supposedly the only way to identify them is by reading the label on the injector. Index numbers are N54 only.

You can identify which eu version your injectors are using rheingold/ista-d. That's the only way to tell the eu number. But yea, you can just pull the injector and order that same part number. Easier and faster.

N55 injectors are technically "indexed" as well. All the index is is the last 2 digits of the part number which represents the revision number. N55 injevtors just didnt need 15 different revisions.

Thanks for the info. I have the warm start hesitation/delayed start issue but no CEL, misfires etc. I thought of replacing all the injectors rather than trying to find the faulty one and I thought maybe like N54, N55 injectors got upgraded or smh...
