I'm torn between tring to pick up a deal on an 80 GB gen 5 at a knockdown price and waiting for the new Classic with 160gb HDD.
Currently Standing at 138gb of MP3's so might be wise to wait... unless someone wants to flog me their 80gb ? SJ |

I'm still thinking about buying the iMac, following Leopard's release, after October. The iPod touch does look nice, but so does the iPhone, hopefully with 3G, at least. The new nano just looks like a baby! Viv |

Give it time and there will be bigger models: 320Gb, 500Gb... (half a terrabyte is actually a huge amount of data when you think about it)

New 24 inch Imac
The hardware in these new machines is more suited to Leopard.

hey just spotted the 160gb is less than the old G5 80gb...
http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObje...home/ipod/ipod Seriously I have over 130GB of files at the moment and that DOESn't include the terabyte of anime and dodgy animal porn ! 160gb is what I've been waiting for. SJ |

If & when I get it, it's going to have to be the 24" 2.8GHz 2Gb, probably with a new Airport Extreme router attached to a networked Terabyte drive. Mmmmmmm..... Viv |

shush about new ipods, im trying to sell my 8gb nano!!!
if u were thinking about solely using it in the car check out the audio/visual forum about using harddrives instead. im hoping to whack in a 250gb one instead of using piddly 8gb on the nano. its nice to have all the music in the car, u never know what mood of music takes your fancy! |

For old time's sake- 100 C64 games in Java!
Rob Hubbard was undoubtedly the Master of C64 music production- the Commando & IK2 themes were classics! I had an Amiga after that & ended up breaking several Competition Pro joysticks, playing Sensible Soccer, Speedball 2 & Dyna Blaster! Viv |

Photoshop positively flies, as does Final Cut... well worth the spend for me (although my other half almost choked when she found out - apparently, she can buy 8 pairs of shoes for the same amount of money... ) |
