Did you take that picture from your tent that you had pitched out in the dealer's parking lot?

Congrats - you are going to love the car. Effortless power and sublime handling.

lol not that crazy yet…
The Sales Mgr sent it to me (this is the 6th BMW I am buying from him over the years).
I had a 2020 Z4 M40i with the same powertrain so I am looking forward to get back to the B58.

I wanted a convertible and test drove a '23 Z4 and probably would have
bought it instead of the M240i but it was too hard for me to get in and out of - my back isn't what it used to be.

I really liked the Z4 and would have kept it but then I could not resist the 992.

The M240 is my DD replacing a 2015 M235.

Hope it will be OK for you but BMW logistic is nightmare. Every 2 months there is new delay, absolutely no transparency.

Order in December 2022, initial delivery order was mid may but the car was produced only end of May as said. Now new delivery date is maybe November...7 months after the production but hey I'm in vacancies all November so maybe I will have the car in December...or not!

You're right, the ship is leaving Veracruz to Bremerhaven. I don't think it does any stop between the two harbours

Your salesman or BMW genius can give you the name of the ship!

We don't have any "BMW Geniuses" here in EU (as far as i know). The dealer lets us know that the car came to the EU port/destination country and then we wait for it to get through customs and to the dealer.
I have been doing research about ships coming from Mexico to EU. I realised that there is a schedule for all ships that comes from America/Mexico to EU and it's pretty accourate. Here's schedule:
https://www.klineglobalroro.com/sche...e_schedule.pdf

It looks like it goes first to America then UK and at the end it goes to Germany.

Here is list of all schedules they have if someone needs it:
https://www.klineglobalroro.com/schedules.html

I hope that my car will be on the "drive green highway" ship otherwise the next ship to EU is in the middle of november

This peaks my curiosity. I've been Ready for Transport for a couple weeks. The Genius tells me that in Mexico they hold the cars at the plant until they have ship space.

So looking ahead I'd like to see the shipping schedules for my possibilities. The car will be destined for NY (Bayonne). What ships/lines run that route?

Until they have the space available on a ship ? Or until there are enough cars to fill the space ?

And any idea as to how many cars get shipped at a time ?

Graduating from this thread…

Pickup this morning.

Black badge, no xDrive badge
Blendmount ordered for R7 mirror tap install

Looks better than I had expected. The red seats with BG are awesome. It’s burgundy red, ie not as red as the photo implies.

Thanks for the moral support.

14 weeks from order received to delivery.

I'm not expert but I assome that your ship will go from Veracruz port to Davisville port because you live in NY. Based on that information on the following link: https://www.klineglobalroro.com/sche...e_schedule.pdf you can see ship "drive green highway" is right now at the port in Veracruz and will be in the Davisville port on November 1. All others possible ships you can see on the link above.

For United States deliveries , specifically all West Coast deliveries :

Do all vehicles get loaded onto a ship at Altamira / Tampico , Mexico ... Then offloaded at where, Galveston , Texas ?

Or do West Coast deliveries go a different route to the US ?

Looks like it would actually be the Western Mexico port route.

Lazaro, Cardenas Port

to Long Beach to Port Hueneme.

Appreciate it but I'm fairly certain the car will go thru the NJ port. Order says it'll go thru the NYCPOA, dealer is in PA, and I'm in DE.

So, today my status changed to 193.

"The current order status is 193 - arrival at port or compound. This was updated on the 24.10.2023
This means that your new BMW has been built and is on its way to the retailer. - will receive an update when the car arrives at the retailer "

Still saying week commencing Nov 5th so will have to wait to see how long it takes for the dealer to sort.

Can't have been on the Niagara Highway as that's still sat in the Channel, hasn't made it to the dock yet!

thanks for sharing! Right after I read your reply my status moved and now I am "in transit". I suppose the car is on its way from Mexico to USA on a ship . Week 41 build.

Well looks as though my car isn't on the Drive Green Highway that left Veracruz on Sunday as my status is still 165.
Next one isn't until mid November and not due into the UK until about 14th December and what with Christmas I doubt I'm going to see it until the New Year.

Genius are still saying delivery for the first week in December though
