Bmw ace 3.0 pro dash cam problem
I recently had the ACE 3.0 Pro dash cam supplied and fitted whilst having 2,000km break-in service performed.
My problem is that the dash cam will not connect to bluetooth on my iPhone 13. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so is there a fix. I do have the car booked in for a Genius appointment, I remain curious if this is an isolated dash cam problem or a common issue. Thanks for any input. OBS |

It is a process of connection through the App, having said that, you need to go to the App each time you wish to have connection. Once connected manually through the App it appears in the Bluetooth settings until the car is turned off, then the App removes itself from the Bluetooth favourites.
The genius appointment explained that the above is a quirk with the Ace 3.0 App, more importantly the camera is recording regardless of the bluetooth App connection status. It is reassuring knowing that video evidence is at hand if the car is bumped when unattended, or a person changes lane on you without seeing the low slung sports car (we do live in a world of SUV's that appear to be driven by the visually impaired ). Try turning off Wifi and/or Cellular service on your phone prior to connecting.
Also try turning off Auto-Join on your phone in regards to Apple Carplay or other Wifi networks My dash cam ( FitCamX ) I gotta mess around with those settings in order for it to work . And I believe other brands is the same situation
