Can someone tell me what services BMW locks behind the subscription ?
I placed an order for an M2 today. This is my first BMW ( please give me a break if I sound dumb ) and part of me is thinking I purchased too much car...anyways.
I read online that BMW locks some features behind a subscription service. I asked my sales rep and he said it's only map updates. I googled online and it looks to be more than just map updates. I've never owned a BMW so the service names are kind of confusing to me. Is this something that I should be worried about? Are any key features locked on the M2? Is the subscription inexpensive? Most of these come with the car, some of them expire after 4 years included with the price of the car. Remote Engine Start is an example of a one-time purchase that doesn't come with the price of the car.

I have no idea what most of these services are, even after reading them on the site. Last edited by Joker96; 04-22-2024 at 08:05 PM.. |

Like mentioned, most come with the car for the warranty period. After that I believe you may have the option for subscription or one time purchases.
Yes, the M2 is a great performance car. |

I don't track cars ( currently ) but I started wondering after ordering if it's worth saving 11k and just getting the little brother. You lose a little horsepower but I don't see much else. Again, I've never owned a BMW so forgive my nativity. |

Was considering a CPO M3 or M4, but for the same price or less I could get a brand new M2. I currently have 7,963 miles on my M2 since end of November. |

I love the M2. Incredibly planted and agile. The M240 is a fine car, but doesn't have an MT option; that was a deal breaker for me. |
