Resonators delete ?

Has anyone just removed the two resonators and replaced with tubing ? No H-pipe or X-pipe added... Did it make a sound difference that you could notice..
In the AMR GTR community, it was recommended to remove the resonators and enjoy a nice increase in sound....
I understand our supporting vendors don't get to sell some of there products if this mod is effective....
any input ?

Do you mean a single Mid pipe to remove the res?

Resonators delete

You have two pipes coming into the first resonator, two pipes continuing into the second resonator and two pipes on toward the muffler section...So just continue with the two pipe set up eliminating the resonators along the way...
If the resonators main purpose to the change or alter the tone/acoustics of the engines exhaust, what does it the exhaust sound like if they simply aren't there is the question....

I can’t speak to the sound, but my friend just did this to his in LV. He just had some muffler shop do it.

I don’t really recommend doing it that way, instead try the Dinan mid pipe/res delete as it is specific to what you are looking to do rather than just having some shop cut and weld… any reason as to why you are opposed to an X pipe?

No. Just get a proper midpipe instead of a crappy weld job.

Resonator delete will make it sound better, that's how M Performance Exhaust are setup. It will however add drone to your cabin at certain engine RPMs. Literally why it's called a resonator as it removes resonant unwanted frequencies. Something to be mindful of. I personally don't mind it and think the improved exhaust note is worth it. That said, chopping your exhaust isn't very scientific. As already mentioned, a midpipe is the better way to go about this.

A mid will get rid of resonators and secondary cats (not primary located in dp). Definitely the suggested route over the chop job. Single or equal length for varying volumes and tones but either better than just cutting up the oem.

Please don't do any shit work like welding different materials to your car's exhaust. The factory ones are already made by some of the highly reputable suppliers like Akrapovic, Boysen, Eisenmann, etc.

If you want more sound, get a down pipe and a tune. That way, you will make 30+ bhp and not have any rattling problems associated with the welding work.

there is a huge difference in resonator delete + secondary cat delete, without the midpipe and I removed the resonators and soon the precats but without the resonators and the aftermarket muffler it sounds incredible
