Anticipated Initial Production
Does anyone have anticipated figures on planned initial production/will all dealerships get a least one allocation during the initial run?
I would prefer a 50th Anniversary edition at the beginning of production. From what I have seen in other threads the first 4 months of the run will be limited 50th anniversary edition. I am concerned that the dealer lists I am currently on will not have enough allocation at the beginning of the production run to potentially secure a car at my spot in line. |

I have my name on 4 dealer lists:
Dealer 1: #1 on the list but charging $5k above MSRP and asking for $5k down payment (I thought this was excessive) Dealer 2: #1 on the list at MSRP, this dealer is not a high volume dealership that according to the manager, rarely gets M car allocation. Dealer 3: #8 on the list at MSRP, high volume dealership Dealer 4: Supposedly #3 on the list at MSRP but the sales contact I continue to reach out to won't call me back to confirm. All dealers except for dealer 1 told me that will not take a deposit from me at this time as they are too far out from official announcement, but I know full well that they have no contractual obligation to fulfill my supposed place in line without a deposit, this is purely a gentleman's agreement at this point. |

Really depends on the dealer.
I'm going to assume each dealer gets their first HEA at some point in November. Whether or not that slot will be modifiable is up in the air...I'd guess that it would be. After that it'll be based on the stores volume and if they're an 'M' store. Last edited by Game; 07-28-2022 at 08:13 PM.. |

Isn’t production supposed to start in December. So how could a dealer be getting a HEA in October or November.HEA’s usually arrive at dealers just before new models go on sale to the public.

Definitely for sale.
Though there's usually a date set by BMW stating when the car can be sold. |

For example, BMW gave my store its HEA X1 just yesterday with a week 35 build. The car will likely get here in early fall and probably won't be able to sell it until November/December. |

Somone has said to expect one a month per dealer it seems a bit low to me but this perason might have not clue. I am kinda hoping they do a special numbered relase for the 50th but not holding my breath.

Just a quick edit.I assume you are talking about getting your HEA allocation in October or November with the HEA being produced in December.I originally thought you meant that you would be receiving the HEA at your dealership in October or November. |

Seeing everyone else's experience with their confirmed allocation slot anywhere from #1 to #5 at MSRP with $1k down now is making me nervous for my situation. |

I would have no problem putting down that amount if the price was MSRP. I just can't seem to find a dealership with a small enough list at MSRP. I was quoted 10th in line at another this morning with an estimated wait of 2.5 years...

There's an audi and porsche dealership next door, and a Bently, RR, Aston, Alfa, Lotus dealership across the street. My dad has also bought like 10 cars from them so I think they'll take care of me. |

Wow,there seems to be even more interest in the new G87 than the F87 before it’s release.I don’t remember someone posting that there was a dealer with that long of a list this far in advance of the F87 release date.I guess it shows just how much everyone liked the original M2.

That'll be a 2 year wait for an allocation.
