Looks pretty good actually. Black and white are surprising me the most on the G87.

Angry Design deprecation

Oh God, such a mediocre design to purposely curtail market cannibalization of higher profit margin offerings like the M3 and M4 vehicles.https://g42.bimmerpost.com/forums/im...es/mad0259.gif

well if you order a manual its a good start. People though the F87 was the last manual... this one seems to be the last.

Until the next last.

Speaking of that intercooler, it is WAAAY too exposed. I could sense something bad happening there with a rogue rock.

It seems like the following gen M2 will indeed be a hybrid, since BMW is working on a few new strait six combos but regardless, they are not going to mate it with a manual transmission, since based on how the hybrid portion functions, it would never work in a symbiotic manner with a manual drivetrain. The writing is on the wall, this is truly the end of the road if you want a third pedal.

I would say Porsche would be the last auto manufacturer to offer a manual option, since their target customer base typically have enough 'fvck you' money to fund their R&D endeavors or Euro emission carbon offset penalties for maintaining a manual + ICE into the future.

Yes, it is well known that the G87 will be the last manual M car as well as the last full ICE M. This is the last hurrah!

Agreed. I cannot go with a new Porsche. Too much for a 911. I need/want 4 seats so the Cayman is ruled out.

Only 4 cars available in Canada w/ 2 doors, 4 seats, RWD, MT under 100k CAD (the M4 would be over 100k after taxes). 3/4 are American Neo-Muscle (Mustang, Challenger, and Camarro).

It is the end of an era which is one of my "rational" for the irrational decision to get this car. While I love my E90 335i, I miss the rawness of my E46 M3.

What's interesting is that if you careful look at some other pictures like the black sapphire leaked photos, you can clearly see there is some sort of a protective grid where it is missing in this alpine white one

Those stock headlight DRL are a dud 👎🏻

Let this be a warning to you kids, splurge for the upgraded adaptive lighting, with the color-changing fiber optic DRL and let it trickle down or you'll probably end up living with regret..

That's right and you also don't get that same angular DRLs which changes color from white to amber when the turn signal is activated.

I first saw this technology on a Ferrari many years ago and was waiting for it to trickle down to BMW, so ain't no way I'm passing on that option.

BMW should've forced the adaptive lights on us instead of the sunroof…

Wow thanks for sharing this otherwise I would have missed out. Is the shadow line part just the very top of the headline going from a chrome color to black?
