Anyone who says the exhaust sounds good is smoking crack.
Will prob sound better in the states w no OPF but damn cars have gotten so quiet in recent years. Even most Porsches sound like garbage aside from the NA engines. Some mods and updates will make it sound okay but it's sad how much exhausts have been neutered recently

The performance exhaust doesn't sound all that different from the regular exhaust… and both sound underwhelming… then again, I think this one is European so has a particulate filter that muffles the sound

Those stick on rakes?, flicks? or w/e behind the wheels are just awful. What aerodynamic function could that possibly serve? I thought this car was supposed to be all “honest parts” - even forgoing M side gills as it served no function.

Sounds ok to me for an oem 2022 car. Downpipes & opf delete - job done.
Lose the eyelash things around the wheel arches, the square guard flicks & the wrap.

Probably in the minority but think it looks good. It has phenomenal road presence and the design is unique and aggressive. Appreciate the MP parts and think they suit the car. Personally a bit too much for my taste but totally appreciate the extrovert nature of this design.

It looks like a basketball sneaker designed by Lebron James.

The removal of kidney grills and headlights that do not pay at least some tribute to double halos is heart breaking. I just do not understand it.
I do not understand the removal of the preset buttons and climate control either. It has been perfected for 2 generations of BMWs and they have now decided to squander their success. I have an X3 M40i now. When i get in it just about any time it is cold out, the thermal insulation/glazing always keep the interior car temperature like 10 degrees warmer than outside when it is cold out - it just always feels nice to sit in for a few seconds. The first thing i do when i start the car in is reach for the climate control to turn it up to keep it from dumping cold air on me from the middle vent. In my F25 - I used to be able to just use the center vent wheel to change the setting to warm.. now it is electronic buried in a menu which makes it much less usable. With the new M2 and every other BMW model - now you get to wait for the infotainment system to boot up before you crawl through the menus to make said adjustments. I have a deposit down, order in, and am number 3 in line at my local dealer for a new M2. The more i think about it, the less excited I am about it and think about cancelling. I think I just want to keep my 135i, or find myself a 2021 M2 competition. It looks worse than the M240I that it came from. How in the world did they manage that? |
