Hi. I'm Nathan. Just picked up a 06 330d touring SE to hack up and down to work covering around 600 miles a week.

Previously had:

Honda CRX
VW Corrado VR6
2x 8L Audi S3
BMW E46 M3
VW Golf GTi
Several vans
and currently a Porsche Boxster S and the 330d.

I did post in the 'coders' section but not sure anyone saw it.

Need advice on parts and coding help for a 2006 E91 330d SE.

Work could be done at my work in Cambridge 9am-7pm weekdays or Leigh-on-Sea Essex weekends.

I retrofitted everything to my MK5 Golf from a MK6 Golf and coded etc but obviously know nothing about BMW at present and don't have as much time as I used to these days so if someone can help for a reasonable fee it would be great.

Would 100% like bluetooth handsfree. I can fit the hardware if I'm pointed in the right direction of parts to buy. I could code in theory but don't currently have the cable or software.

Would 50% like coming / leaving home lights (I have xenons) if its a reasonable price.

Coding on VCDS/Vagcom is a LOT easier than BMW's!
I'm more than happy to code and retrofit on VCDS and have done various retrofit/coding on our Golf GTI, but won't touch my E91

I agree. I have retrofitted a combox inc the coding myself and it was very straight forward. This was my 1st retrofit and coding too!

Since then I have done more coding and retrofits.

I have had a look but couldn't find any definitive guides showing what parts were needed etc? Plus I'm run off my feet busy with work.

On my old VW forum there were a couple of guys that did retro fitting at the weekends for reasonable costs. No one like that on here?

Depends on your definition of reasonable costs? I got a few quotes from forum members before I did mine and I wouldn't say they were reasonable.

Retrofitting a combox takes around an hour (assuming you already have a USB port) including coding. Its even quicker if you use a plug and play lead.

No USB. Just AUX in the arm rest.

No I drive either. Just the Professional headunit with what I believe is called the 'hifi' set up

I paid £500 for my CIC to be flashed to V41, a map update, a Combox and all associated coding, the relevant cabling and video in motion enabling.

This was including shipping and return to me as the Chap that did it lives in Essex.

It felt like a reasonable cost at the time. Now I know more about coding, maps etc. I wouldn't pay for video in motion, maps etc. so could shave a few more quid off of that cost.

You need a professional radio with Bluetooth built in.

It is by far the easiest way to go.

I have 1 for sell - radio, bt mic and connecting wire & USB compatible wire
