You might want to apply that question towards Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

Truthfully, it really does not matter given that launch is not until April. In the event an individual’s M2 gets produced well prior to then it will either be sitting in Mexico, at the departure port, arrival port, a VPC, or lastly at your center until the Stop Sale is pulled.

That is six months away. There are still issues with supply constraints and transit delays. There is certainly no guarantee you will have it by then. You have a 50/50 shot.

I'm not optimistic about quick production and delivery from Mexico. I have seen regular cars that aren't anything special just sit there for weeks after they are built. No explanation. No reason. Just sitting there. We are definitely playing the long game with this car.

I've read 12/8 on a bulletin back in late summer. Not sure if that's changed.

My only argument with the 12.08 has been that it is very peculiar to begin production on a Thursday. I suspect SLP is idle on the weekends like the other North American manufacturing location, Plant Spartanburg.

This would follow the XM also starting on a Thursday. Kind of an odd choice for plants that go dark on weekends but German Efficiency I suppose.

The 'Future BMW model information' thread originally had SOP on 12/22 for over a year. I remember seeing that date around a month ago, but it's since been edited. There is no SOP date posted in that thread anymore. Wonder if SOP got pushed back.

The first production XM rolled off the line last week and the press release was on Dec 1 which only means that production definitely began days prior to the first.

Truth be told, it would not surprise me at all.

12/22 should refer to Dec 2022, not Dec 22nd, it is unlikely a mid-week start a few days before Christmas would have been planned.

Yeah, I've typically seen SOP used as a placeholder and most of the time it would begin roughly a couple of weeks prior to that. That was pre-pandemic though.

This is from September 24th 2022.

Ahh, good point. Automatically assumed that was the day, not year.

Yeah that makes sense, I just assumed the press release date and SOP date were the same. You know what they say about making assumptions

The M2 will be produced through 2029?! I jumped on this bc I thought no way a four seater would have a manual after a couple more years...not seven.
