yes, was trying to figure out if my car is also affected by the stop sale because since last week and until now I wasn't notified by my SA about it but also I didn't pick it up yet (since it seems the car is on its way to the dealership now ) so most probably I might be affected as well...

As for which cars are affected by the stop. My sales manager (soon to be former lol) mentioned that 7 cars were stopped at his dealership and mine was the only 2-series. |

Dealer has been really understanding and agreed to reimburse me for my travel costs (around $300), trying to parlay that into a "cost" deal on snow tires and BMW wheels. I am concerned about the timing of a November fix - as I do have the performance tires, any snowfall would make the drive home (Wisconsin for me) a not-so-fun adventure. The later it goes, the higher the risk. At this point, I am waiting to hear more from dealer...not much any of us can do but wait...again! |

I also have the performance tires and was hoping to get some time in on them before putting snow tires on, but that looks grimmer everyday lol. |

the Code is STOP024307
My car is at the dealership and this happened on the day of delivery . I really can't hold up enough. My dealer said the fix will be coming sometime in October

Does anyone know if this effects idrive 7 vs 8 or anything like that? I have a 2023 230 xdrive that's ready for transport, wondering if this will delay it.

BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective September 23, 2022) on certain Model Year 2022 - 2023 BMW vehicles that were produced between August 24, 2021 and September 24, 2022. If it's impacting cars built in 2021, it's not an iDrive 7 versus 8 thing. |

Someone more familiar with these things will have to weigh in but I'd say there's a good chance these cars sit at the VPC until they are fixed. Either way, even if it does get to your dealer, you're not getting it until it gets fixed.

My guess would be a software bug which doesn't automatically pop up the backup cam under some circumstance. This would violate US safety standards (FMVSS 111), hence the stop sale. |
