I would do a Sto N Sho mounted either in the stock location or maybe the bottom of the lip if it didn't interfere with anything. No visible holes. Those let you pop the plate on and off in seconds. Here they are on my 2 cars.

I got 3 parking tickets in a 7 day period in Brooklyn no front plate on my Tesla. $65 a pop. It’s one revenue hungry municipality.

They showed that AW G87 with a Mexican plate in the lower area,so it may be where BMW plans for the plate to go in the US and Canada.Looks a bit ridiculous in that area to me but maybe it’s the only option.

Not an option if you have adaptive cruise control. The mount will get drilled into the bumper and the plate will block part of the kidneys and part of the lower grill

Crazy

I've been pulled over for speeding in NJ with no front plate, "Sir nice car. SLOW DOWN. Have a nice day." NY is a different story. Leeches.

Yes Officer, it’s the law.

There is a roll of the dice work-a-round. After you get the tickets, you mount the front plate, take a picture and contest the violation. YMMV on the results of said contestation and of course depends on how you value your time.

I’m trilled to getting a 90 day Temp tag from the PC, will give me some time to figure out a more permanent solution, which may include never bringing the car to the city.

Was $85 a pop in Portland a few years ago. Parking patrol are obviously trained to look for it - easy revenue.

Wonder how they were able to mount it there, doesn’t look like they drilled the bumper but it rather attached to the air vent below somehow…

Zip ties would do it. A solution for those not wanting the dealer to drill. Legal and easily removed.

I was able to see a TR M2 with the front plate last week.It looks terrible on the front bumper.I would actually prefer it in the lower area like the Mexican pic.

True, but if you're getting a manual Active Cruise is not an option.

+1

The zip tie idea isn't bad though, just double up on each side and check them frequently.

I also prefer to see it in the lower area, but with tinted covers. It would be as if it wasn’t even there.

I think last I checked, the GoMini no hole front plate bracket was no longer available.

Can someone measure the distance of the slat? If it is less than 9.5 inches, it will fit the Sly bracket. Also the distance of A... from front edge of grill to radiator.

For the love of god. Don’t do it. Tell the dealership you have an aftermarket mount.

I picked mine up at Motorwerks this week - they only mounted the rear plate. I had asked them not to drill into the bumper cover for the front. Happily they complied.
